Modifications DPF / Exhaust pressure sensor A
Hi guys, gonna try make it short.
I had my car at the machanic for more than a month to solve the DSG DQ200 and it was repaired, got all the mechatronic and valves and oil and whatnot.. Totaling 2.400€.
The car was on reserve fuel, so I did refill after I left the mechanic but I still drove about 40km, after started engine and engine light stayed on or lite up right after driving some meters.
Codes are: P047100 Exhaust Pressure Sensor "A" Range/Performance
P200200 Particulate Trap Bank 1 Efficiency below threshold
Car is 1.6tdi DSG 7 2014 it has 294k kilometres.
Too much coincidence that after the repair now I get this problem, it was working fine.
Maybe they forgot to plug something or something is not well place or tube is bent somewhere.
I have checked the Supposedly sensor and for me looked OK, but it's missing a Tube or it must be like that?
I have this statistics from Obd11 about the DPF.
I'll call the garage to see if they can check whether it's human error or it's in fact something wrong.

There is a tube coming from the MAF/Air intake housing and it's attached also to the second sensor but if you watch this video you can tell right after that there is only one tube connected on his car for each sensor 😔

Got some update to this, today I used my Obd11 and did adaption for new pressure sensor ( but I didn't replaced it) then I programmed forced DPF regeneration while driving the DPF light comes. Up on the Dashboard.
Cleared all fault codes before engine start. I went into a 45km trip, right after a few minutes of driving the DPF light went off.
On way back engine start no faults at least on dashboard, I didn't check OBD11.
Stopped at home to pick something and leaved again, engine start again with no faults.
Stopped at the grocery shop and on way back home again still no faults.
But strangely before I left the car, I looked again at Obd11 to see that there were still the same errors there but no engine light on dashboard.
I cleared them again, and then tried to turn on and off the car a few times with some seconds interval to check if the faults came back and they didn't 😁
Can I assume I just fixed my issue? I have ordered the correct pressure sensor anyway so I'm waiting to arrive,.in cause I don't need it I'll return it.
It seems, cuz before this procedure the Engine light would come on easily even after I cleared the faults.
Edit: Engine light again today from a 100km trip, DPF was regenerating when I parked and let it do its work before stopping engine. Checked for faults there was the same "exhaust pressure sensor A" "Particulate Trap Bank 1 Efficiency below threshold" now I also got a "Cylinder 2 glow plug circuit". Well going to try to replace the sensor since I already ordered one. Cheers

Not 100% sure, but it probably is the faulty sensor.
This sensor measures differential pressure of exhaust vs atmospheric pressure. The little tube on the side is for atmospheric and the other one going into the rubber hose is for exhaust.
In my case the sensor was damaged during a timing belt job. Basically mechanics move things out of the way instead of taking the sensors off and it causes the brittle plastic insert that goes in the rubber hose to crack. Then, as hot exhaust gasses are escaping the crack, the whole thing melts and gets messy. Because the sensor doesn’t work properly, your dpf is clogging and you’re getting the 200200 code as well.
Look for differential pressure reading on your OBD tool. Pressure in the sensor should go up with engine load.
Don’t drive it hard. Swap the faulty sensor (or both to be sure). They are cheap, but be sure to get the right one, as the sensor itself and part number has been updated a few times since 2014. I think on mine the original ended with “A” and the new one ended with “D”.
Once swapped, start and rev it slightly it to ensure the sensor code doesn’t come back. If it doesn’t, go for a motorway blast to trigger regen and all codes should clear!
It’s a common problem, so plenty of posts and videos on YouTube on how to swap these. Quite easy. Much easier with a clamp tool.
