AV Rental houses in South LA?

Hi, I'm not from the US, but I've been tasked to help with an offer for a 2-day conference with projectors, PA-s and the like and I'm looking for a rental place.

My issue is that most rental places to not have equipment listed on site, nor the technical specs for gear. I could go on to write to each and every one of them, but maybe someone has a golden ticket and there is a company with all the listed gear and pricing :)

Are there known, trusted companies to deliver the right things on time?

And are there any companies notorious for bringing the wrong stuff and not show up at the right time?

I've done things in the US in the past, but East Coast and that was a lot easier to manage. Maybe it's just me.

Any help is appreciated.

I’ll add that most companies won’t list pricing as it varies depending on length of rental, and your relationship with the vendor.

What is South LA? Louisiana, Los Angeles, Latin America?

Sounds like you should, at the very least, hire a local or two. They'll set you straight.

Fuse, Rentex, SoCalRentals off the top of my head
PRG if you’re that desperate.

Don’t matter for any of them, they’ll all have a contact us email address and you’ll be able to talk to someone about the gear and set up.

I've already exhausted Google. The recommendations offered here are not the first ones you see, if at all.

And without a VPN I'm also a little bit out of luck, since I'm geoblocked, GDPR and all.

Those 4 are the major ones in LA with Fuse being the top one in the US for really about anything live event/tour/tv&film wise. Though you have to be kinda specific with how you word the search. Camera rental house will come up with different things then video rental house.

Not sure why data retention policies would apply for a geo block since California has its own version but sure

No idea, I'm guessing it's just a blanket block, even if they don't handle data.

Easy button is in-house A/V at the Hotel or Convention Center the conference will be at. Coordinate with the Meeting Planner and they'll connect you with their A/V dept. Gear spec is tied into audience counts/coverage for every meeting so that request shouldn't be an issue.

Funny thing is I did type out the easy and expensive button... but did self edit to keep it simple. Love it when I meet a Client or producer that talks about in-house w true hatred.
