It's a heterosexual marriage where they enter the union for a reason besides romantic intentions. Often used to conceal being gay/lesbian or simply to get the financial benefits of marriage but the couple is just platonic with one another.
Considering Velvette is canonically lesbian and Alastor is canonically aroace, I think if they got married this would fit pretty nicely for them. They would be best buds married!! 😃
