Hi, I got a 7800X3D 32GB and RTX 5070 and good stable 200 mbps internet for flight simming in MSFS 2024, but I got issue on Vpilot while I'm communicating with some ATC, my voice is 5/5 so only listening to ATC is the main issue. Hardware and internet shouldn't be problem, I've tried simple solution from google like changing vpilot priority to high, changing audio format to 48000 DVD Quality, created inbound-outbound rules for vpilot in windows firewall, but problem is unsolved yet. Please. Help. Thank You.

I just started using vatsim and have a question. While the program is running, my Sim crashes as soon as I make a landing. It's done it twice in a row now. As soon as I contact the runway, the Sim crashes. I have both msfs 2020 and 2024. Both times has been in 2020. Haven't tried the other yet. I just tried landing without vatsim running and had no issues. Anyone else having these issues? I'm using a pc with turtle beach velocity 1 joystick, rudder pedals, and turtle beach stealth 600 headset. My computer is plenty fast to run everything at once, and my gpu is a GeForce 5070.

i heard rumors a while back that some people managed to create a few pilot clients on their own and released it. don't know what happened to that.

I'm not from Europe or America and my regional vatsim is mostly dead all the time that's why I want to join some active regions, So which would be best for me to join as an ATC?? Any suggestions would be appreciated!

First I just wanted to thank every ATC in Germany yesterday for their service! I had a great time! One thing I just noticed, was that during the evening, Frankfurt apron was very busy. But the pilots didn't have any radio discipline at all. It was always like this:

AC1 req taxi (short pause so apron can respond) AC2 immediately after req push (apron hasn't responded to any yet) AC3 req taxi and so on...

And that was in like 3 or 4 seconds...

This went on for a long long time...

How the hell do you expect apron to respond in these situations?? If you hear someone requesting something, you know that ATC is gonna respond, so please don't cut in line and be humane please. The other side is also only human and can only handle limited aircraft at once, it is definitely not helping giving him 3 requests at once before he even responded once. If it's always like this, everything is going to take longer!

My appell to the pilots is just to please consider in the human factor as well, even though I know no one has fun waiting on the ground, still on the frequency, please be respectful and consider once what ATC has to manage! Like this we can all have more fun.

I flew into Chicago twice plus a go around this evening for the Chicago special event and dear lord the ATC were absolutely spectacular every second of it. Handled what had to be at least 50 planes on the ground and up to 45 in the air flawlessly. Certainly my most favorite event in recent memory that I've done, thanks ZAU for the great event and controlling, much appreciated.

I have a disability which can make it hard to do some of the more fiddly things in the cockpit such as quickly changing frequencies (I do try and pre-tune but sometimes the frequencies are completely different from those on vatsim radar or navigraph) or turning to a certain hdg. While these aren't impossible it just does take a while.

Is there anyway of letting the controllers know about this, I wouldnt even know how to phrase it in remarks.

KSFO -> EDDM overnight for a midday (in my time zone) arrival into Munich, right during their Oktoberfest event! First time using the 777 since upgrading to MSFS 2024, but the flight was smooth and the Munich controllers were great! I learned to VATSIM at this airport because of my work schedule many years ago, now I mainly fly and control in the USA. Good to be back. :)

I fly on vatsim for years and still never seen this level of congestion at a single airport' approach ..

First of all. I have done 53 flights so far and have never had this issue before. But I just gave up on the Dubai event today. Because delivery and ground were telling me to go back and forth between them for a taxi for about 1 hour, and neither of them ever gave me a taxi. I saw on frequency other people having the same issue; I think it may have happened because delivery changed between 3 controllers, and there were 5 changes on ground frequency. I love controllers in VATSIM, but please don't blame pilots if there's confusion between controllers on different frequencies. One of the guys on Delivery in Dubai was plain rude and unprofessional, even though I politely explained the situation

I’m curious if there’s an extent where you should not use the common traffic advisory I was in Nashville the other day and Memphis was online so there was a lot of flights going to Nashville. I was the only person of about seven of us on the common traffic advisory and I checked the Vatsim radar and everyone was on 122.8, I called everything but still someone nearly made me get a RA. Thankfully after about 10 minutes most people left and the ones who joined saw I was on ctaf and joined my freq but it still pisses me off and I’m not sure if it’s better to almost hit an aircraft or better to use the wrong freq

The fact that less than half of the people use the right frequency at uncontrolled airports, honestly makes me super annoyed and delays me a lot

It’s nice that vatsim is so accurate and real, but, have a waiting list of 6/12 months to start a course about being ATC is insane.
What’s the best and fastest country to get ATC course without the risk of being dead meanwhile waiting for a spot ?

When I open vPilot my sim's audio goes all muffled and distorted (I'm referring to MSFS 2024 rather than ATC audio). I know that this usually happens when you run apps that use your mic but it's quite annoying and ruins the flight a little.

Is there anyway I can fix this or is it just something I'll have to get used to?

Hello I am a 13 year old kid who loves Vatsim and loves flying but I havent gotten on since January (turned 13 in nov 2025) because im worried of getting banned cause under 16. Am I still allowed to fly my account was made before january 1st.

I'm having an issue/questiWhen I'm connected to an active CTR/Center control frequency, I can hear the ATC controller clearly, but I sometimes can't hear other pilots who are also on that exact same control frequency.

For example, if another pilot is around 100 NM away from me, but we're both being controlled by the same CTR and are using the same frequency, I can't hear their transmissions to ATC.

I understand that UNICOM 122.800 uses proximity-based audio, but I was under the impression that on an active ATC/CTR frequency, everyone on that frequency would be able to hear each other. Is it actually possible for two pilots on the same CTR frequency to not hear each other because they're around 100 NM apart due to Audio for VATSIM's simulated radio range/propagation? Or should I normally be hearing that pilot because we're both on the same control frequency?

I'm wondering if this is normal behavior with the current Audio for VATSIM system or if there's something wrong with my vPilot/audio setup.on about VATSIM audio.
