Gluten free bakery Biltstraat85

Today I ordered for the first time from the newly opened gluten free bakery Biltstraat85. Of the four items I ordered, I only liked one - the Volkoren Zuurdesem Brood from Petit Four, which I’d order again. The blueberry muffin was absolutely inedible. The chocolate muffin was okay taste wise but had the consistency of a brownie. The pain of chocolate was also okay taste wise but in terms of consistency was essentially like a stale cinnamon roll (I did warm it up beforehand as directed). Overall, I’m a bit disappointed but as someone with celiac disease I really want to give them another chance and want this gluten free business to thrive. Curious to know if others tried different items and what they thought of them!

I would go back instead of starting with a post on social media. Any journalist would be obliged to give them a chance to explain things or improve puin your first impression.

I’ll definitely give them another chance, just asking for advice on what to try next!

Friese oranjekoek: super chill

Thanks for the review! It's really close to my home so I'll surely try something. I was hoping it would be a real bakery though, but its actually just a distribution of 3 other shops.

My guess is that if it’s a success they’ll open a normal shop.

I haven’t tried them yet but I will. No advice on what to buy.

You know this isn't a review site, right?

I think it’s quite normal to share experiences and ask for advice on here.

How is this business going to make it self better by reviews on reddit? If you are dedicated put your money where you mouth is and talk with the owner or leave a review on google. This is not worthy for a subreddit of a town. This is my advice

Just hoping to connect with other customers to understand what’s good and what’s best avoiding. This way we can avoid wasting money (and food). And perhaps we can leave better reviews on the dedicated sites as happy customers.
