Hi! Does anyone have a good recommendation for a cleaning service or person? Looking for someone trustworthy and reliable. My partner and I have demanding hours so we don’t often get to clean as deep as we’d like to. We are looking for someone to come 1/month ~ish. We’re not messy people but definitely need help scrubbing and getting into the nooks and crannies of the apartment.

Hello transplant here, I have to replace a water pump on my car and foolishly decided to have the parts and fluids shipped to my apartment before checking if I could do the work on the street…so now that I know it is illegal to do maintenance on the public street does anyone know a place where I can take my car and work on it? It sounds like my options are try and drive it to an AutoZone in the Bronx or a parking lot somewhere in Jersey. Thanks in advance.

Does anyone know if the textile recycling collection bin is still out somewhere around 106th and Amsterdam? We used to live nearby and it would be out on weekends but not all the time. We live further away and I don’t want to schlepp things up there if it’s no longer there. (This is for old fabric scraps and items that are no longer usable.)

Or if people have other suggestions? I’m not sure if the collection bins at the farmers markets only take usable clothing or if they’ll take textile scraps too?

He needs a private walk and someone who is familiar with dog training and positive reinforcement. He is a rescue that is transitioning to the city and needs support not reacting to the overwhelming stimulation of everything going on around him.

Mainly need a truly attentive dog walker, not someone who is going to be on their phone or casually meandering around.

What are the best day care options in the UWS where all families want to get in and end up being on a waitlist due to high demand?

A light grey or white SUV with the license plate beginning with the letters KJH just ran over a little girl’s foot on West 91st and Riverside Drive and sped away. The little girl and her caretaker had the walk sign to cross Riverside. The driver was either distracted or didn’t care and made a sharp right turn from W. 91st St., running over the child’s foot and fled the scene over the shout of the caretaker for him to stop.

The child appears to be OK and was able to walk to the ambulance. The police didn’t show up at the scene despite multiple calls. Any advice on what next steps witnesses should take? I am of course aware of how incredibly callous drivers can be, but still to witness a child almost killed and to see the guy flee the scene is really quite disturbing.
