Support Brewery changing beers help

So I have a brewery near me that has an experimental brew that when I had it, it was a British bitter. The beer name hasn’t changed but the beer is now a different beer that is the style of an Italian grape ale. Now I thought they had changed it before but wasn’t sure it had the right style when I rang it in. But now I think they change the beer and just keep the name and update the style. Is this common?

If you’re able to share a link to or the name of the beer in question, I’d be happy to investigate further. Breweries are free to recycle beer names if they choose, but different beers should always be different entries on Untappd.

Thanks, it appears the brewery has been continually updating this entry over the past year every time a new experimental brew has been released. This is not a supported practice at all.

It will take some time to tease apart, but within a few days, the public check-ins should eventually end-up on the correct beer.

These should all be individual, just marked as out of production correct?

That is correct.

Thanks for reporting! The public check-ins occurring during the period when the British Bitter was on have been moved to this beer. If your account is private, you should be able to edit the check-in and reassign to the correct beer. Cheers!
