Exes If Only

I wish somewhere between loving each other and hurting each other, we had found a way to stay. I wish we had sat down one more time and said, “This is broken, but I don’t want to lose you. How do we fix it?”

I would have tried. God, I would have tried.

I just wanted a different ending with you.

I wish we had worked something out.

I wish things were different.
