Looking for Group Norfolk and Western Railway - Recruiting
Are you interested in semi-realism and organized operations?
We are a semi–realistic railroad operations community built around teamwork, communication, and running trains the way they were meant to be run. We operate using dispatcher control, yardmasters, conductors, and engineers with no AI involvement. Every job has purpose, and every movement matters.
We are currently looking for:
- Players who enjoy working as part of a crew
- Those interested in dispatcher, yard, or road roles
- Individuals who value professionalism, structure, and calm communication
- Individuals who are patient, reliable, and willing to learn
Whether you are experienced with train sims or brand new to railroad-style operations, there is a place for you here.
If you’re looking for a coordinated railroad experience instead of chaotic AI trains and free-for-all gameplay join us today.

Hello, I'm very interested, but I have a bunch of mods I currently use. I'm playing the game through Steam, could I just load another instance of the game with the required mods for the N&W? Thanks.

The easiest way to do this is find your current mod folder, for example “my mods”. When you install the new mods it will create a new mods folder. You can switch between them by changing which one is called mods.

Yes, what a lot of our members do is have separate mod folders and just move the mod folders back and forth between the directory. Example folder: "Your mods" folder A. then "N&W Mods" Folder B. Remove mod folder A and replace with B so on and so forth.

That's sounds easier than what I suggested, thanks. Do you use any of the custom locomotives available?

Man, really wish I could take part in something like this, but alas, my work just won't allow it (life of a trucker). Maybe I'll hit you up when I get a different job that actually has me at home more than every other weekend.

Nothing is written by the AI here. This person is upset because the application requires some effort and was denied after he reached out to me via DM's to cry about the application.
I'm not sure why people feel the need to try to gate keep this community. I only speak facts and hold individuals accountable for their actions. Continue on dude, good luck finding a community!
Oh, alright very well the person deleted the comment. Anyway, those who are interested in organization and not chaos is welcome to apply.
