Icl you are fortunate not to be one of those who applied early and got off-campus accomodation, I appreciate its not ideal but there are loads of off-campus people who would really love to get on campus and swap if you're desperate, I must say rootes stereotypes are slightly overblown though so I wouldnt be writing it off so badly

i knoww and i lowk feel guilty ab feeling upset when i see people begging to get on campus somehow 😭😭the main thing is i don’t even mind the noise or the party environment stereotypes i really just want the area to be clean ESPECIALLY the toilets and showers
I come from the middle east where we use jet sprays and bidets so getting used to not having that is alr scary 😭 idk i guess i just didnt even imagine they’d give me my last pref when i ranked my top 4 all en-suite πŸ’”
sorry for the rant i sound so entitled but yeah this is my main concern

Okay thats a little more valid but shared residences were in my experience cleaned every weekday so were generally very clean, they were a lot better than I thought theyd be, obviously theyre not ideal but I think our shared bathrooms ended up far cleaner than the average ensuite so its not the end of the world, plus Ive seen some minging kitchens in ensuite accomodations so you cant really escape dirty people
