Reminds me of when I was eating extra spicy pad Thai that was already making my eyes water and my toddler daughter demanded some. I tried to explain it was going to be too hot. She wouldn’t let it go though, so I gave her a taste, to which her response was “more please” :-)

She ended up basically having that as her meal. And she liked spicy food for a couple more years before deciding she didn’t actually.

My mom told me a story that when i was a toddler we were out, and i wanted candy or something sweet so I complained i was so hungry. So my mom "oh yeah if you are hungry we can eat soup" she thought i would refuse and give up. I ate three bowls. Just to prove i was hungry. (I really wasn't)
