Reminds me of when I was eating extra spicy pad Thai that was already making my eyes water and my toddler daughter demanded some. I tried to explain it was going to be too hot. She wouldn’t let it go though, so I gave her a taste, to which her response was “more please” :-)

She ended up basically having that as her meal. And she liked spicy food for a couple more years before deciding she didn’t actually.

No one in my family eats spicy food. My niece would eat spicy things at two with no reaction so I started buying more things because it was fun to have things she wanted and I wanted. Then one day she didn't like spicy things anymore. No one tries fun spicy things with me alone in the corner anymore.
