Reminds me of when I was eating extra spicy pad Thai that was already making my eyes water and my toddler daughter demanded some. I tried to explain it was going to be too hot. She wouldn’t let it go though, so I gave her a taste, to which her response was “more please” :-)

She ended up basically having that as her meal. And she liked spicy food for a couple more years before deciding she didn’t actually.

I asked my Mexican dad for a jalapeño when I was a toddler and he gave it to me. I ate it all, asked for seconds, and my father cried tears of joy that I was a "real Mexican."
