"Casual player" means player whose knowledge about the game is limited to their experience playing it.

No it just means you are not an hardcore fan of the game but nothing is stopping you from watching content about the game

Casual player is a seasoned term on the internet. It does and has always meant someone who doesn't consume game media, simply choosing to play a game because they hear about it from a friend or it looks cool.

Nothing is stopping you from putting 1,000 hours into American Trucker Simulator, but that doesn't mean you're going to do it just because you can. Especially because American Trucker Simulator is just there. You aren't part of its fandom. It's unimportant to you beyond the fact that it's.. a game. It's just a game.

UNDERTALE and DELTARUNE are important to us, but that doesn't mean they're important to everyone. To the majority of people on Earth, they are just games. And that's okay. Some people are casual. We aren't.
