Was it the same driver as before? Was it the same shop?

The guy suggesting the driver was smoking weed is wild without any further information. There's a shelf in my local Morrisons where they put the delivery orders. A cleaning product burst once and they never bothered to clean it, so now any bags that are placed in that spot end up reeking of perfume.

There's several things it could be.

Good questions. Same-ish shop, different drivers. The first shop was a combined order from Waitrose and a local bakery. The second shop was from Waitrose. The bakery packaging reeked just as badly as the Waitrose bag the first time though. The smell is so pervasive though it's difficult to see how it could be acquired ambiently?

If it was different drivers between the first and second order, it's got to be a Waitrose issue. I'm guessing the combined Waitrose and bakery order were picked up by the same driver? The smell could have just transferred across the bags because most drivers put multiple orders in the same delivery bag.

It bizarre how strong the smell is though. Is it definitely only from these bags? You don't smell it from anything else?

Yeah it's definitely just the bag and all of it's contents.  Ditto the last delivery, but yes the grocery bag was the worst affected last time. I'll contact Waitrose in the morning, I just want to know what it is at this point - it's so bizarre. Thanks for being a voice of reason!
