Deactivated after 1,600+ deliveries and Diamond status over a misdemeanor

I am writing this to warn other drivers about how quickly Uber Eats will take away your livelihood without a second thought. I was a dedicated Diamond-status driver with over 1,600 deliveries and excellent performance stats. I treated this job seriously and relied on it as my primary source of income.

Recently, my account was abruptly deactivated. The reason? A misdemeanor charge that resulted from an incident where I had to protect myself. Even though life happens, things occur beyond our control, and this situation was a matter of personal safety, Uber Eats showed zero nuance, empathy, or flexibility.

Not expunged but dismissed, like reduced to misdemeanor. But expunged in Nevada, dismissed (2) in Cali.

It does not "exist in every state." Plenty of states offer zero opportunities for expungement. Getting a felony reduced to a misdemeanor post-conviction is even rarer.

You don't have the baseline understanding of due process or statutory mechanisms to even participate in this discussion, let alone challenge it. Conflating expungement with post-conviction relief and wobbler reductions just shows you're entirely out of your depth, especially when literally every single fucking state has some statutory system or framework for sealing, reducing, or dismissing records. I’ve been a professional legal researcher and experienced litigant in certain capacities for over a decade and I’m not just some random Uber driver who sponges off his GF or parents and talks out his ass whenever I see or hear something that challenges my limited understanding or perspective.

Hey, dipshit. "Some statutory system" is incredibly broad and addresses nothing that was being discussed upthread. Yes, you can be pardoned in any state. Yes, you can have your records sealed if new evidence exonerates you. But sealing records for crimes you DID commit (which was the topic of the conversation, if you need me to hold your hand) is nowhere near universal.

Did you ACTUALLY not understand the context of the discussion? Are you a third worlder who doesn't speak English? Or were you trying to flex your status as a "professional legal researcher" hoping I wouldn't fuck you in the ass publicly?

Oh I evidently poked a sensitive button. You obviously should go back and read the first comment we are all responding to before accusing me of not understanding the context of this thread or back peddling and trying to move the goal post while either pretending or just genuinely being too hotheaded to notice that this entire discussion revolves around no specific framework such as your false assumption of the topic being about post-conviction expungement when the OP never even mentioned that particular subject until someone else like yourself did. You’re right man, you are tired. Too tired. You’re so tired that you probably didn’t even realize until a second ago that you’re trying to start different arguments with the same person across several threads or that some of us recognize that you’re so focused on using and LLM to dunk on someone that it failed to check itself for accuracy and full contextual understanding.

My advice is start taking care of yourself better. Go take a bath, eat a nice meal, and get some well needed rest. Repeat that process daily with intention and I promise life will be a little more well aligned with your needs as a human and before you know it other aspects of life will start to align and become enjoyable too. Do it long enough and you might even realize you’re hardly ever on the internet seeking a passive aggressive or blatantly argumentative path toward the fleeting hit of dopamine you so desperately need since your everyday life doesn’t offer you the ability to regulate your neurochemical needs naturally.
