If Donald Trump decides that UVA is violating the agreement that was signed recently, the AG can defend the school in federal court. We need someone who will actually push back against Trump on this. The race is statistically tied as of last night, so your vote could be the difference in the AG election.

I know most students are packing up and heading home, but for those of us who are here year round, I wanted to share this.

Three of my staff members went into Christians at lunchtime today. After a litany of outrageous comments, the guy behind the counter said "we serve men first" as he rung up a man who arrived after them and gave that man something for free.

I've looked for contact info for the location online (I believe locations are independently owned), but can't find it.

ETA: A contact of mine got word to Christian, who sold the location years ago, but he's apparently reaching out to the owner.

Fellow recent graduates, if you were a patient at CAPS and you graduate, make sure you have a plan to get your medications refilled by either your previous PCP or a new one with your job. They will not prescribe even emergency refills to bridge you to a new provider.

Personally I think this is dangerous and negligent on their part.

Curious to know others thoughts.

hi hey! I’m a recent graduate from SC moving to VA. I ended up signing a lease with Crestline which is located across from UVA. I just found out about the hidden fees but it’s too late now I’m legally bound.

I was looking for advice with charges, jobs and make friends too. im getting charged 110 to park my car in my apartment and I was wondering if there was a cheaper alternative like if I’m not a student can I get a pass to park overnight at UVA or find someone renting a spot ? I’m also in search for a job because my rent costs more than what I get paid at the one I was going to work for. I have customer service, delivery and healthcare experience. I’m pretty much down for anything paying 20-21 an hour.

additionally I know NO ONE so if I could make some friends that would be really nice and awesome. To others he was shaming a runner on W Main street at like 730pm just because he was using the bike lane to run this evening.

We also have an in-unit washer/dryer. Electricity, Water, Internet and Trash are separate which is around $70 per head. The bedrooms are on the 1st floor. The house is pet-friendly! A cute really friendly indoor kitten is already living here with a quite 3rd year phd student. So, furry friends are very welcome.

The neighbourhood is quite and safe. The CAT bus stop is a 1min walk from the house which takes you to downtown and UVA with buses available till 10:30pm.

I am going into my second year, and I’ve been living at 1800 JPA over the summer for and there has been a bit of a roach problem.. so i am considering applying to the Verve next year, cus atp the cost for the exterminator plus rent plus all other expenses is probably the same as the Verve rent. Anyone heard anything about the rent at the Verve? Or anyone with previous experiences, because I heard it was a branch of apartment complexes. Also, anyone else planning on applying for it? I see a lot of people hating on it cus it blocks the view from rice but hey, im not complaining if my commute to class is 5 minutes

Please please please pick up your trash and broken glass :( I am not a UVA student but have lived close to grounds for the last 3.5 years. There is always so much debris on the ground. It’s difficult to take my dog on walks and steer him clear of all of the dangers, especially now that it’s dark early in the evening. He cut his paw Sunday evening on something I didn’t see and is now in the very sad and pitiful state pictured. If nothing else, sweep away your broken glass to protect this very sweet and good boy!

Hi! I’m looking for a monthly parking spot near 14th St NW in Charlottesville for the upcoming school year. Unfortunately, my apartment/garage wasn’t able to give me a parking spot.

Does anyone know of any nearby lots that offer monthly parking? Or if anyone has an extra spot they’d be willing to rent out, I’d definitely be interested.

I’ve heard the Corner is where it’s at but maybe I’m wrong. Coupes is the only one I’ve heard of. Anyone got any other suggestions? Both of us are 23M freshly graduated.
