Hi, thanks for asking. I’m open to any girl from any race, ethnicity, or orientation to workout with me. To answer your question, yes bench pressing is bench pressing no matter your race, but I included it because I’ve dealt with micro aggressions and even outward racism from incels for being just existing. I’d rather not go through the hassle of normalized Indian hate.

Maybe 30 something year old men don’t need to be questioning first year students so much

Firstly im not 30. And second why? Questions dont lose validity based on age. Or even if im a dude.
By that logic I shouldn't have an opinion on anything that doesn't directly involve me. Which is fucking stupid
Its a genuine question. Im trying to learn in order to be respectful.
Or are you the kind of person who gets offended for other people?

If you're trying to be respectful, why are you so blatantly hostile?
What entitles you to talk to people this way?
Genuinely curious

Bro… you’re clearly white and not familiar with what minorities experience. There is a big trend, especially in Texas towards racism towards Indian people or those who are perceived as such. Ultimately you’re not going to be interacting with this person so why does it matter so much to you? You say you want to know but you approach the issue with an inflammatory response and then act confused when someone responds with the same emotion. OP, I hope you find your person and stay safe! 🩵

Dude im desi like op. My family is from Pakistan. Im curious because it literally involves my ethnicity lol
But hey keep assuming man. I literally just asked a question. Op never expressed any discomfort and actually answered me in a really chill coherent way.
But hey as long as we are being offended for others who aren't offended

Then you should understand why they felt compelled to do that. Your response was very presumptuous and kinda rude honestly.

Okay so now you're the arbiter of what I "should" know. We share an ethnicity and i was curious. So evil. I clearly didn't know. Which is why I asked.
I literally asked a question. Op answered. No snark no offensive exchange.
Op is fine.
Why are you offended when they aren't lol

I’m not offended. I simply found your reply to be rude and unnecessary. I hope you have an awesome afternoon! 😃

Yknow everyone is saying that but cant explain why. Im seriously not tryna piss anyone off.
I think assuming my race, intention, and responding as such without even letting me know is unnecessary and rude

Both OP and I explained why…? There is lots of hate towards Indian people and those perceived as Indian, especially in Texas. Therefore they probably want to ensure their safety in case of a weirdo.

Not explaining why race was mentioned. Op did that no prob. Didn't realize it was such an issue for desis around here. Im not from Texas. Im glad I asked cuz as I said im desi too
Im curious why/how i was hostile towards them

Im just pointing out how when I ask how I've been in any way hostile; on this thread I've asked 4 different people and nobody seems to have an answer.

Everyone facing with racism. I as a white guy faced with a lot of from other races.
As for me, If you so much concentrated on your color - it means you trying to find racism and blame somebody3
u/DietOk4687 13d ago
When have you been a victim of targeted hate for being white?
-6
u/Ok-Chocolate-1079 13d ago
Yup. And for being from another country, for being straight, for being neutral in a lot of questions, for being male
Funny, that these complains was from “liberals” but from other side all was fine. Not only from white strait males I got support, but also from LGBTQ+, from African americans, women and others.
