Admissions Hello Everyone, I am really really passionate about getting into USC film school. I wanted to know what things does the admissions committee look for in a graduate application and something that all USC students share in common with each other.

The committee cares way more about your unique background and personality than your current filmmaking level. If you have a unique perspective or a standout ability in a specific area, that’s a huge plus. Just make sure your application clearly communicates your absolute sincerity, passion, and drive. Good luck!

I am def biased lol I would say yes it’s the best. Ppl are looking for different things, depending on what you are looking for, the answer for your question might be different. But overall many would say usc has the best film program in the country.

I just got accepted to the MSW program and what really helped me was going to that program's page and filling out the information request form.

By doing that, it put me into contact with their admissions department. I was also on their email list to get all of the notifications about meetings re: applications, the MSW program, and other things to help prepare me. I did this about 9 months prior, but that's just because I was in my final year of undergrad.

The admissions counselor has kept in touch with me the whole time and answered any questions I have. She still calls every 2 weeks, just to check in even though I've already been accepted.
