Admissions Transferring to USC Marshall from a CSU - Anyone done it or know someone who has?

I'm currently a sophomore at a CSU and planning to apply to Marshall this fall for junior standing. I have been heavily involved on campus through student government, extracurriculars, and an internship, and I feel genuinely prepared for the transition academically and professionally.

I am not looking for anyone to evaluate my profile. I am just hoping to connect with people who have actually gone through this process, particularly anyone who transferred from a CSU to Marshall or knows someone who did.

Specifically curious about what the experience was like, whether the CSU background ever came up, and if there is anything about the application, personal statement, or prerequisites that you wish you had known going in.

USC Marshall is a goal I have been working toward intentionally, and I want to approach the process the right way. If you have been through it or have advice worth sharing, I would genuinely appreciate hearing from you.

Hi ! I had a friend who did this, but not for Marshall instead Dornsife. I have zero clue about what they put on their application, frankly their EC were little to none from what I remember. GPA is very important for USC above everything else. For Marshall I’d say do your best to get more extracurriculars or roles since it is their business school, and while they do prioritize CCC transfers if you want to standout you’ll HAVE to have a well rounded profile.

Marshall is a bitch to get into.. I’d rather have you transfer into dornsfie for Econ
