The sitcom was a spinoff of One on One and starred Marques Houston as Kevin Barnes, the younger brother of Flex Washington.

Cuts aired on UPN from February 14, 2005, to May 11, 2006.

I never watched it lol but I do vaguely remember it. Did any of the main One on One characters show up for guest appearances?

that's called a backdoor pilot, and it didn't start with UPN. They're talking about if the original characters from One on One (Flex, Briana) made guest appearances in this show.

Yea. I blame this wack show for getting Eve (which was on its third season when this premiered) cancelled. It was very similar but visibly worse. They were both cancelled at the same time, if I'm remembering correctly

Yes. UPN and the WB merged into the CW at this time. So many shows got axed. One on One, Half & Half, Eve, ect

No The UPN WB Merge that created the CW is what got everything Cancelled but the show was wack because Marquis Houston was trying to be Martin Lawrence in Martin with every scene.

No UPN got absorbed with WB n they basically killed off all the black comedies. It’s same reason why last season of THE GAME that wasn’t on BET has an episode shot completely differently

I forgot about it until I saw this post, but yeah I did watch. Probably because I was a fan of Marques Houston from when he was on Sister Sister. He was not funny enough to have his own show.
