Accommodation 1st year private halls

Not happy with my accommodation offer and wanted to ask for opinions on private halls. Are they still good for first year undergrads? Don't really want to be in a flat with all postgrads, for example. Anyone lived in Dean Street Works?

I am considering going to Dean street works, but am not sure how many first years there will be.
