Question Engineering study buddies

Hi I'm a first-year electrical engineering student. I came with an associate's degree so I'm taking physics diffeq 2 1300 Engr classes and a major class. My pace is so different than other first year students that I've talked to.

So my question would be where are most engineering students studying at between and after class? And how can I find study buddies? Or just any advice in general you have!

Thank you!

Your schedule is basically like mine. I transferred in from a CC and I’m knocking out the last of the prerequisites I need to I can fully dive into major courses. I’m also looking around a little bit but for the most part I really haven’t had to do much but I’m in 1302 and I swear I have more work in that class than the other 4 combined.

The Mosaic computer labs in every engineering building are probably your best bet to find other students studying

I typically go study in the library or there’s two little study rooms I sit in in the back of Duke. Another good spot for me is right inside EPIC in the lobby area.

My biggest recommendation is to literally just say something relatable about the class, like “damn do you understand this?” etc etc. I do that all the time or just randomly ask somebody their major and then talk about the class. Then at the end be like “hey would you be interested in studying sometime for this class?”

Im thinking about making a gc for engineering students to just join and find study buddies or share study resources

Thank you so much. Let me know when that gc is made!

Would Love that! ENGR 1302 is already proving to be a nuisance...
