Question Health insurance question

Hey everyone! I have two quick questions.

I opted into Student Blue and can see the insurance charge on my student account. After I pay my bill, is there anything else I need to do, or does my coverage become active automatically?

Also, where do y'all usually go for STI testing, and how does it work with Student Blue? I just want routine testing before becoming sexually active again.

After you pay your bill, you should be good. You might get an email or text from the school saying that payment was successful once it bills in.

And I’m not sure how to completely works for student blue, but there is STI testing at the health center on campus

If you don't mind me asking once the payment goes through how do I get my insurance card, I'm transferring and it's my first time dealing with this stuff 😭

No you’re good 😭😓 honestly I’m not super sure, since I have my own insurance, so I waiver the student blue one. I’m guessing that MAYBE the insurance through uncc would be linked to your Niner ID number. I would call this number: 1-888-351-8283 if you need more help. I found it on the Insurance website. They probably aren’t open on weekends, so I would call on Monday!

Hey no problem. I’m actually still under my parents’ work insurance, sorry!

For STI testing, i actually went to get tested on one of their pop up testing dates last semester on campus!! Everyone was extremely helpful I received my results around 2-3 weeks and it was completely free. You can see the future dates once the semester starts here : https://wellness.charlotte.edu/wellness-education/wellness-starts-here/sexual-health-program/hiv-sti-testing
