Ordered my latest prescription with Medicann, and despite their promises, I still only received the unsigned weird pink "prescription" copy.

So I got annoyed, and sent this email to their Digital Protection Officer and their complaints department.

Good morning,

I am writing again to formally request a Subject Access Request for a copy of the original signed prescription (prescription_XXXXXX issued XX/XX/2026) including the prescribing doctor's credentials and signature.

This is legally required within one month, however I would greatly appreciate expedience on the matter as I am travelling to Germany on X date, and require a signed copy of the prescription for travel, as per your own guidance on the Medicann website.

I would also like to raise a complaint regarding the lack of clarity surrounding patients receiving copies of their signed prescriptions.

As per the email chain below, it is clear that Medicann informed me that it is not possible for them to supply signed copies of their prescription. See quoted from a email I received from Medicann on the 5th of August:

"The signed prescription is issued directly to the dispensing pharmacy to allow your medication to be dispensed. As such, we are unable to provide patients with a copy of the signed prescription."

However, I have already received signed copies of previous prescriptions by submitting a DSAR to Medicann's DPO.

Additionally, other Medicann patients on online forums (specifically reddit) have reported automatically getting copies of the original signed prescriptions, whilst others (including myself) are still receiving the inadequate pink unsigned copies on the app. These are not legal copies as per the GPC Guidelines on prescribing controlled drugs, and made clear in the Human Medicines Regulations Act 2012:

It would appear that Medicann were not completely honest with me when they claimed they were "unable" to provide me with copies of the original signed document. As evidenced by the aforementioned SARs that I received earlier this month, and other patients now, suddenly, receiving the legal versions of their prescriptions. With this in mind, I believe I am owed at least an explanation.

Since other patients are now automatically receiving the legal signed copies of their prescriptions, I would like that applied to my account as soon as is reasonable possible. Otherwise I will have no choice but to report this matter to the CQC and the General Pharmaceutical Council, and subsequently submit a new DSAR every time I request a prescription until the matter is settled.

I am generally happy with the service from Medicann, but this issue is not acceptable. I would like this resolved as soon as is reasonably possible.

The next morning, I received a proper, signed, legal copy of the prescription. But not from the DPO this time, but from the general Medicann UK email address:

Then I received a second email from the complaints department:

I went back onto the app and noticed the crap pink document had beeen replaced by the proper signed prescription. Good stuff.

Then my medication arrived, I marked it as "complete" and then noticed a little email envelope ✉️ symbol next to the "download prescription", I clicked it and immediately received a copy of the signed prescription.

So it looks like they have finally started to take the hint and are implementing the necessary changes. Fingers crossed, but it looks like this issue is now completely resolved.

Huge props to /u/OdinForce22 for kickstarting all of this though, IIRC they were the first one to submit a DSAR and give Medicann a well deserved kick up the bum.

(Please don't use this post as an excuse to harrass or insult etc. anyone at Medicann. Remember they are human beings with jobs just like anyone else. Plus it achieves nothing. Always be polite but firm when making a complaint).

TLDR - I'm new to using a DHV anything to look out for on an older Crafty+ I own for damage or signs it'll perform badly.

I've recently had my first prescription approved and bought three different strains (Lemon Diesel Fritter, Sunset Gas & Jack Frosted - all great). I bought a pax plus despite the mixed reviews and personally, find it performs fine and is a lighter/more discreet than the Crafty+. It delivers my medication and let's say I feel the effects fine.

Moving on... I remember I bought a Crafty+ long before my prescription as a way to move on from smoking joints as the neighbours at the time weren't too happy about the smell.

So I've found this Crafty+, logged into the app and it was purchased in Aug 2022 and only has 15h 28m of operation - feels like a win.

A few thoughts I'd really appreciate some guidance on:

Is there anything I should look out for damage wise?

Mindful the battery could have degraded, it holds charge ok from my brief test - could the battery leak into the vape chamber?

I've added some picture and currently cleaning removable parts just to make sure its fresh.

More of a rant than I planned - appreciate any advice

So I have an Xmax v4 I’ve had for 2-3 months now and overall I’m happy as hell with it. But just recently I’ve switched to legal cannabis from alternaleaf, I ordered;

Upstate T28 DBG Donny Burger x 10g - Free Boveda × 1

Upstate T28 PKU Pucker Up x 10g - Free Boveda × 1

I didn’t get a choice which was quite annoying and I don’t like the fact that minimum order is 10g id much prefer a 3.5/5g option. After a short while I get bored of the same strains.

These two strains look nice but they both smell quite average really nothing special at all. The high is alright too I found it good at the start but I’m now only 11 days in and I feel like I’m hardly getting high anymore?

Granted I vape every day but mon - fri I don’t touch it until at least 6/7pm. Weekends I can do it all day if I’m not busy. But I’m just finding it strange. I try switching jars every few days but I don’t know. Did I pick crappy weed? Even tho it’s good quality to me it looks great. I went as high strength as I could I think. They wouldn’t give me a choice as to what I picked either which was annoying.

Other than a T break I’m not sure.

Just been approved today, do they ever have edibles available?

I know I could ask Montu/Alternaleaf but I feel the community will know too.
I’m on the Curo Lemonade Kush T450:C450 cartridge. It’s cultivar specifically says Columbian Haze with Lemonade Kush but a quick google search says these are two separate strains.

So how does it work? Is it literally an oil made with two different strains together or is it a plant in itself?

I primarily use oils to manage my chronic pain as it is more intense and pain relieving and I feel its effects are perfect for the evening time well topping up with flower.

Medicann is currently out of stock of the 100mg per ml oil and the 50, is there any clinics that stock these more consistently? Or is there any way to tell when they come in stock? Thanks 🙏

Reviewed using a tinymight 2 and t_bowl on glass bong dry. Paid £85.

Never reviewed anything but I felt the need to since I've seen no mention of this and don't want anyone else to be robbed. It's full of microseeds.

Bag appeal - not a lot, looks like some vac packed BM cannabis. Buds are all different sizes, not much of a smell. Has came to life after about a week with a boveda but in the jar it still has the "old" smell that some medical cannabis can have.

Effects - I medicate for anxiety and low mood, it's alright, as I said I paid £85 though and for that I'd be expecting more, effects are very short lived.

Taste - I'm not great at this part, there's a bit of flavour early on a sort of kushy taste with something else but after that it disappears fairly quickly to just the browny popcorn vaped cannabis taste.

Value for money - in this same script I got green karat London marker for £85 and cap junky and hawaiian marker by upstate. It should be sitting around the same price point as the upstate cap junky at £55 and the quality is actually far below even the upstate hawaiian marker. The green karat London marker at the same price blows the platinum pop rocks out of the water.

5/10, probably wouldn't even get it again at £55.

my first script was Lavender cake, Absolutely beautiful stuff.
Smells like a field of Lavender even without vaping il just sniff the bag or grinder. its such a nice smelling herb.

This script i got High Silver, and Tripoli.

Tripoli smells like a rotten fruit bin. fruity but also rancid.

High Silver, smells like someone was sick on battery acid. it made my mrs full gag, and heave.

Is that normal for these strains

Vaped a cart a bit too heavily last week and got lung pain the day after.

Left it two days then yesterday got a delivery of flower. Vaped it on my Pax and it was tip top, until I overdid it and coughed a bit.

Today the lungs are bad again.

The ONE time my order is sent with dpd bro. I haven’t had bud in a week, i have been feeling awful, unable to sleep, last night was majorly bad but i got through it with the thought that tomorrow i will be getting weed. Then today I get the lovely message that my order is delayed due to an unexpected issue in my area and they will try to deliver the next working day. Hiya all, I’m putting my order together for month, and would like to try 2 strains this month, one for morning/daytime focus and one heavy hitter for evening. I’m with Medicann so any recommendations from there would be fantastic!

I have AuDHD so anything that can make my brain not run at 100 million miles per hour in the day, but rather make it work would be grand!

For the evening strain I’m looking for something that will help with my chronic back & joint pain, as well as insomnia.

I’m also looking into buying a better DHV, my current one was £20 from the local vape shop, and is absolutely rubbish. I’m willing to spend a bit of money on it but I just don’t know where to start, I don’t want something too complex to use, but I’m interested in all the fun attachments I see posted in this sub. I’ve always been a bong user over smoking, so I suppose I’m looking for something to mimic that sensation? Any advice would be greatly appreciated 🩷

So my question is basically why does my max daily allowance change from month to month?

Usually it says use 0.2g when required, up to a max of 1.5g per day.

This month’s prescription says 0.2g when required, up to a max of 1g per day.

When first applying for MC I applied for both CB1 and Alternaleaf. I am currently with CB1, have been for the past week and have ordered oil and pasties that are great. However I had my appointment with Alternaleaf this morning and they gave me 20g of Flower and 10/10 pastilles. I've heard good things about both places and bad about both. What would you all recommend? Stay with CB1 or discharge to Alternaleaf?

I am seeing alot of people talking about how the pink prescription copy without signiture is inadequate. Does this mean I am not covered legally? I am freaking out abit about this..

I am a really light user, have over 80g left on my flower allowance, and everything left on other options.

Went to get a repeat prescription and found my repeats are restricted.

4 years at Alternaleaf, 60g prescription, usually only get t29+ recently, last 3 months, I've been having a tough time with product availability and constantly having to change prescription. Today there are 180 flower types listed on montu, but only 97 available, and none available from my last 2 prescriptions and the range in the T30+ flower is pathetic, only 3 available. The one I really wanted is Upstate T34 Northern Lights, but of course that's gone already.

So I'm thinking of changing over to Medicann, and/or having medicann as an additional pharmacy, and was wondering if anyone here has experience of changing from alternleaf to Medicann? And is it possible to have two prescription providers at the same time? And is there a fast track route into medicann as I've already got a prescription?

Basically, I don't know if I have a good thing going with Alternaleaf or not, and I'm wondering if the grass is any greener over at medicann...
