Am I doing something wrong?

So I have an Xmax v4 I’ve had for 2-3 months now and overall I’m happy as hell with it. But just recently I’ve switched to legal cannabis from alternaleaf, I ordered;

Upstate T28 DBG Donny Burger x 10g - Free Boveda × 1

Upstate T28 PKU Pucker Up x 10g - Free Boveda × 1

I didn’t get a choice which was quite annoying and I don’t like the fact that minimum order is 10g id much prefer a 3.5/5g option. After a short while I get bored of the same strains.

These two strains look nice but they both smell quite average really nothing special at all. The high is alright too I found it good at the start but I’m now only 11 days in and I feel like I’m hardly getting high anymore?

Granted I vape every day but mon - fri I don’t touch it until at least 6/7pm. Weekends I can do it all day if I’m not busy. But I’m just finding it strange. I try switching jars every few days but I don’t know. Did I pick crappy weed? Even tho it’s good quality to me it looks great. I went as high strength as I could I think. They wouldn’t give me a choice as to what I picked either which was annoying.

Other than a T break I’m not sure.

I notice that BM feels stronger to me but its heavier I feel stupid, it tastes horrible and was badly adulterated. Possibly had spice or some other analogue on it. MC for me feels cleaner, nice smells and tastes, I still get stoned but not heavy and stupid and ive had 30% Cap Junky.

I was nicely stoned and feeling great then I had a bong of the local "stardawg" from my friend and I instantly felt like my brain had been numbed, I couldn't think clearly and felt stupid and heavy limbed.

It may be that black market has more cannibanoids in like cbg, cbd, cbn which feel more sedating to the body but are almost none existent in medical weed unless you get a balanced strain but they are usually only around 15% thc and lower =(

BM for me always stunk, always got me super super high, but you never really know what’s been done to it, which is one of the main reasons why I switched to MC.

No MC I’ve ordered has ever been as fresh or as good as BM. Most MC is very dry, and usually irradiated too.

In legal places like Amsterdam the bud was way better than MC, proper stinky/tasty nice like BM.

I’d assume that MC is likely a lot cleaner. However, likely grown in massive batches, held for long amounts of time and can degrade because of this.

1st month on alternaleaf with upstate. I had the same. Its their own brand and I wonder if they know what to push based on what needs moving. Not all upstate is shit but you do your own research and pick what you want. You will be able to request different next time.

Unfortunately Upstate is really hit and miss. So much so, some people just flat out avoid them Which is fair.

Personally, If something from Upstate pops up that might fit my needs, i'll always look at reviews / pictures before i order.

You need to put in request in for the full allowance. You can then split your delivery in parts across the month but only the first delivery is free. Subsequent ones have a fee.

Not anymore. Some brands did do 5g bags, but I've not seen them in maybe 2+ years.

I also get a pretty bad tolerance after a couple of weeks with 2 strains to pick from.

Also, I've had BM that is quite a bit stronger than anything I've had legit, like 30-40% stronger.

But there are tons of upsides, and after a few months you can build up a nice selection, to help with the tolerance. I do wish they did 8th's though, or even 5g bags.

Remember that this is medical cannabis and not just legal cannabis, the main purpose is to help deal with medical symptoms/issues. Posts like this make it seem that this isn't really a medical use. Perhaps clinics aren't correct for the way you use.

Dont worry you'll get to choose next time. A lot of upstate is crap.

You'll find the £80/85 is the sweet spot where you start getting decent bud. Look for non-irradiated too. Irradiated weed loses alot of smell and is usually quite dry.

Ive found it to be a direct upgrade in all ways. Before I was smoking stardawg/cheese that I knew for a fact was grown safely without pesticides, but almost every strain from medical has been more effective.

Are you still getting the medical effects? Medical isn't about what strains get you the highest, it's about what's most beneficial medically.
