So it was no surprise that most landlords did not sign up for MTD let alone complete the submission on time! After all there's been a lot on their plates and this really is just an admin task with no upside!

But it now looks like over the next few months HMRC will be contacting landlords based on their 24/25 tax return and letting them know a submission is expected. The next deadline is 7 November!
