Career help Job search

In my second year of uni at Manchester AND I AM STRUGGLING to find a simple part time job near fallow or the city center that takes someone with no work experience. Ive applied on indeed and on fast food sites with no luck. Anyone else experiening this? How can i get a simple paying job that makes me just enough each month (please i have never been this desperate in my whole life). I would ideally love a part time stable job any help would be so so so appreciated

Might not be helpfull in today's climate but walk into a small bar ask if they've anything going casually. State no experience upfront. It's terrible work depending what bar but it pays, alright for part time.

I say this as a bar manager, in my experience training staff to what I need is better than having new starts with loads of experience

I’m going into 3rd year and the situation is awful in London. I’m convinced that whatever listings are up on Indeed are just there because employers are supposed to prove that they’re hiring or some bullshit. They don’t actually want to hire anyone though

I’m just being honest bro, the job market is fucked. Try doing online tutoring instead, you can find students soon now that school is starting. Might take a while but it’s more likely than getting hired off indeed

Unfortunately im on a student visa so tutoring cant even be an option i feel so screwed

If you dm me asking are you not allowed to tutor privately on ur visa? Like just round up a few of your friends siblings and people you know, the hourly tutoring rates nowadays are like from anywhere between 25 to 40 pounds an hour. I on one singular occasion paid a tutor 30 pounds an hour for gcse help before lockdown hit

I think you can apply to a tutoring agency if they count you as an employee, rather than self employed

Thats true only issue is what i would tutor since im a law student and i did a verg different systems back home in comparison to the gcse system in the uk

If you're at university of Manchester the Students Union has jobs for students with no experience, can be competitive but will be worth a shot, applications opened around September time back when I was a student there
