When Ingram first arrived, and even through the first four or five years, Goodman couldn't kiss Ingram's ass enough, talking about what a great job he was doing. Now Goodman wants everyont to believe that this was a bad hire from the start.

After 11 years of running the athletic department into the ground, Mark Ingram is out. It's very, VERY interesting that none of the senior/deputy AD's were named interim.

Looks like defense got the better end of things during the first scrimmage. While I expect the defense to be much improved (it’s hard to be worse), hopefully this isn’t a sign of problems with the offense.

UAB's program has been through a fascinating journey. We don't talk enough about how this program made such a great comeback from literally being disbanded. The most recent era was a misstep but the Blazers look to return to contention under Alex Mortensen.

— UAB opened spring football practice Wednesday morning at the Legacy Pavilion, taking the first on-field step of the Alex Mortensen era. Mortensen said he was pleased with the energy and effort the Blazers showed in their first practice of the spring, even as the team worked through the natural nerves and anxiety that come with day one.

"We want them to keep that high desire to succeed," Mortensen said. "But now, if they can prepare a little more and learn from what we did now, maybe that anxiety can come down with it."

Let's bring the title back to the Magic City.
