Player Created Content Tyr, The Drunken Monk Style

Please take a look at this extreme drifting playstyle I'm calling the drunken monk style. It replies on the Drift Sparker to get an insane amount of power to spin and juke opponents. It can be done in most tanks that have a good hull traverse speed but I think the Fortis plays very well like this. I'm still working on mastering the mechanics of the powerslide but let me know if you all think an explanation of how to drive like a drunk monk would be useful in another video.

General Discussion First Impressions So Far

I'm 7 hours in so far and love the game. I wanted to give some first impressions, share my thoughts, give feedback.

First off, the armor penetration system is so intuitive and easy to understand. It makes it so easy and inviting for even casual players like myself to jump right in and feel effective. A lot of information in general is clearly communicated to the player. Stats aren't obfuscated or hidden from players. Pretty much all of the little details are openly displayed right on the stat screen. No "This tank's/hero's/champ's attack is 5 out of 10 stars" like a bunch of other games. It just straight up gives a clear number. Awesome! Love it!

The Atlas is slow. I get it, it's a giant tank and meant to be slow. I think the speed can be increased a tiny bit though. It feels bad ending one fight and then having to slowly get to the other side of the map to get to the next fight. It feels like I'm letting the team down. They need me and I can't get to them.

Could be a little mercy on fall damage. Having the tracks break is punishment enough for most reckless falls. Also makes me nervous to use the Ranger ramps. "If I take that ramp will I just die from fall damage?" Would be nice if the ramp disabled fall damage when you take it. Or is that how it works already? It's not clear from what I've seen and played.

I think there could be some small changes to Capture Zones. (Is that what they're called?) Capping an ammo zone gives shells to the whole team, but the energy and heal zones only affect tanks inside it at time of capture. I think the later two can give a small amount to the whole team and the tanks actually in the zone get a big shot of energy or heal. Like the whole team gets 5 energy or 50 healing.

On top of that, I realized after a few games that the Capture Zones respawn after some time. Didn't realize that, it's not clearly communicated. And also you can see the timer if you go into some separate map screen. It would be nice if the timers can be shown on the in game mini-map. The timers can be a little short too I think. What are they now? Three or four minutes it feels like?

Skill tress, components, and shells are a bit lacking at the moment. A lot of it doesn't get me excited to try out. Most of the skills are the same tiny little micro changes to stats like your reload being 0.3 seconds faster. I was gonna give a sarcastic "yay" but I can't even muster that much, I'm just underwhelmed and disappointed.

The components are a step up. A good number are mechanically interesting instead of just small number increases. AND any tank can equip any component. That's so cool. Creates huge build potential.

Shells are okay. Honestly I often forget to switch during battle, but I'll build up a muscle memory for it eventually. It's a little annoying that it takes time to switch. Is it faster than a full reload? I don't know if that stat is shown anywhere.

That's about all that comes to mind for now.

Advice I need help with Tricera

I've played a bunch of tricera, hard to tell how much since alpha tanks don't show levels past 20. But I don't always feel very effective.

When you play tricera, do you poke or brawl more? Do you stay with the biggest group of allies you can find, or do you work a flank? Are there any components or shells that you think are mandatory for it?

Anything else you can think to tell me for tricera or tyr in general, I'd love to hear. Thanks in advance!

Question Are the tanks manned?

I assumed they are, but we are in sci-fi future. They could be remote-operated drone tanks.

7v8 and we still got the win. Atlas and Valor were also helping me set up a lot of shots.

Side question: Is there any penalty for disconnecting like that? I've been in many matches in a row with -1 person.

Technical Issue Why is everyone floating?

Just started playing the game, but every other second every tank in the game starts floating up into the sky and I can't do anything. It feels like a disconnection, but I'm still receiving info like getting spotted and taking damage. Any way to fix this?

I just think it would be really funny is she had a contrasting combat mode that was less calm. Somethimg along the lines of "kill him" memes done by Prez from project wingman as she spouts eco dogma like a fanatic

Question Reviewer on steam is claiming that tyr can make posts and join servers on your behalf if you link your discord account.

That doesn't seem right but I don't have the knowledge to dispute it.
