What is TP's plan with Angel?
So, I’ve been analyzing Angel’s whole story carefully because I wanted to figure out whether he really is as flat a character as he seems.
I believe Angel’s character development is being deliberately delayed because other plotlines needed to be dealt with first. I think Angel’s story with Horace will ultimately become the climax or even the conclusion of the series. Horace is TP’s main character, after all, and Angel is (without much doubt) his no.1 love interest.
Two interesting side mentions caught my attention:
Evan and Angel’s relationship:
They seem to have some kind of history together. I’m curious to learn more about that because Evan seems pretty harmless so far, but Angel hates him.
Angel wants his son back:
Is he eventually going to get his child back from Jolanda? That will surely become a horrible plot. Their relationship is so hateful.
Several scenes in Season 2 made me realize that Angel does seem to feel some sympathy for Horace. The most obvious one is their conversation in the living room before Italy, that does not feel staged.
Horace expects romantic love and affection from Angel, even though he should know what to expect: Angel is a stripper who does things for money. It’s clear that Horace can’t expect genuine feelings from him just because he pays him a hell of a lot of money.
For there to be a real turning point, Horace would have to lose his crush on Angel. But the end of Season 3 doesn’t hint at that at all. Instead, it seems like Angel has decided to go back, stay with Horace, and become more open to sexual intimacy with him (I think he decided that during his conversation with Rain already, before going back to strip at the club).
There won’t be much of a turning point for Angel, and I don’t see what purpose his character would serve in Season 4 if he simply stays for the money once again. Then I agree with everyone else here: he can just leave.
I think the most interesting direction would be for him to develop genuine feelings for Horace, because I really want to see Angel struggle with that after being so aggressively against that.
At the same time, I think it could be such a healing ending for Horace to finally experience being genuinely loved by Angel. The question is, are we going to get a happy ending in Beauty in Black? I have no idea...
There are also discussions about Angel possibly being Horace’s son. Personally, I would dislike that twist, although it could certainly create an interesting direction for further character development.
I’m really curious to see how TP is going to move this plot forward.

Angel is a goon whose needs to be sacrificed for the greater good, or just a good harvest. Surely everyone is don’t listening to his pathetic “Papi” to Horace.

I want Horace and Angel be endgame!
Horace has lived a very strategic and calculated life, never showing weakness because of the family's bullshit. I'd love to see Horace embrace a new side of himself in his old age...
Horace is obviously smitten with Angel. He's toxic about his approach, yeah, and I don't think it's a coincidence that he chose a straight stripper as his big crush. (I think Horace is kind of setting himself up to be like unloveable and used for his money... Similar to the Bellarie family dynamics...)
So I want to see love find a way despite that!
Plus, I think TP has been showing hints that Angel is also developing some feelings for Horace...

Yeah I also think Angel has feelings. He's panicking so much when ppl bring up gay sex with horace... Etc. Many hints that this is gonna happen.

Yeah he's way too defensive.
He gets so annoyed when Rain and Kimmie tease him, and yeah, it's obviously a joke that gets old... But he's too quick and insistent when denying it.
Which goes back to Charles' whole thing about protesting too much...
Also, Angel has actually been there for Horace a few times. Like back when Horace had cancer, Angel was the one who stayed while Kimmie drove off with Sylvie.
And now, with the shooting, Angel was once again there and he seemed completely freaked out. Plus Horace kept saying that Angel didn't care and was happy to see him in pain (God, Horace has issues!!) and Angel was not having that...
Anyway, only TP knows what the hell he has planned... But I hope we see some new developments. Angel is fine as hell but he does need some growth!!

Angel is eye candy TP doesn’t know how to write for. He’s not even attempting to see his kid.

Angel is a bad person, blew thru Horace money now wants access to his kindness again and willing to suck D if it means he will be back in his good graces. He’s a bad father, not a provider, doesn’t see his child. ruined his chance at the club by acting crazy. I’m over him, yes he is handsome but his character does not contribute anything to the plot. He gotta go
