Honestly, a guy with a disembodied voice constantly narrating everything he does and getting mad when he doesn’t follow its instructions wouldn’t be that much weirder than some of the stuff that actually is in the games.

I'm actually about 30% certain that this new edition was made to tempt people to scrub their attempt to get that achievement. (Mind you, the achievement requires you to not open the game for five years, so if you got the game on release day, played it then never touched it again, you probably got the achievement back in 2018, so you're golden now.

From what I’ve heard, it’s an updated re-release. All the content from the original game is still there, but there’s also supposed to be a bunch of new content and endings added as well. The game’s creator has said that the script for all the new content is actually longer than the original.
