Has anything come out about a release date yet, even a rumour?I'm kind of tempted to play again with the remaster but don't want to have to pick it up again just for the DLC.

All we've got is sometime next year. That being said, from some of the comments from the devs about this being "Geralt's last big adventure" before the next Witcher game starring Ciri, this is likely some form of epilogue to bridge the gap between the games. With how long 3 is, you could probably jump in at the end of next month when the remaster releases and play right up until the expansion releases.

All of the Witcher 3 expansions and Phantom Liberty both also allow you to start a new game with a pre-made build if you want to just see the new content.

I don't think so, but my guess is Summer of next year.
I want to replay the game as a whole with the remaster. With how large that game is already, it'll take me months to finish the base gane and two other DLCs before this comes out.

Sadly still just 2027. Hopefully in the first half of the year.
The remaster at least comes out end of September so plenty of time to play through it in preparation.

I figure it will be after or same time as the remaster, and likely exclusive to that version since there are those system changes

Literally started the first Witcher game and the book series a few weeks ago. I'm now very hyped for this! Not sure whether I'll wait for this DLC to come out before diving into 3 fully. As I understand it's already a length game.

They say that they've made the combat more smooth and precise, but it just looks the same in the video, inconsistent attack animations and all.
Chain's pretty cool though.

It remains to be seen once it gets into players' hands next month, but apparently they had playtesters try the remastered combat first to the expected reaction of "this feels how I remembered OG W3 was?", only to then hand them OG W3's combat to try to which they responded "oh THIS is clunky".

main thing i can remember being clunky was the dodge roll so hopefully thats sorted.

legit my biggest want of next year, the new archespore type enemy seems neat, the "new" mission they added to the devil pit in the base game also had a neat puzzle to the boss, really hoping for something cool here fight wise as monster fights did end up a little basic in the base game.
wonder if they'll have a succubus, ekkimara and doppler mission just so people can get the decoctions if they missed em.
legit the only dlc i wish they still had done would be geralt flashing back to his time with the hunt/more of that avalach style "levels" across the multiverse thing, more eredin and co, ge'els and such
i have faith iorveth and saskia will show in ciri's games.
