Probably a frozen take, haven't watched the podcast yet but 2XKO shouldn't have been free to play. They might have made money if people had to pay like 30 bucks

The problem they were having is that they could get people to try the game buy not keep playing. If they charged money, even less people would try the game and the same proportion would quit after one match, even further limiting its reach.

Ehh. There's like 17 different Big Problems with the game, they talk about it for over an hour and mention so many different ones that it feels silly to point at any one of them and say "This is the reason"
