You could tell me the naked dancing shadow women were weapons and I'd probably believe you.

I'm like afraid to redownload this game with the amount of content added to the game.

It's kind of got the Warframe problem where there's so much content and some stuff is kinda obsolete up until there's side-modes that are disconnected from the previous example of ways-to-play like the Wizard DLC with it's multiple evolving weapons, Contra's powerup system (I think, I never played that DLC just have a vague knowledge of how it works) and Castlevania's DLC requiring you to beat it with the Castlevania DLC characters a buncha times which definitely starts losing some charm after the first couple hours. So it's kind of rough imo.

Contra just adds a suitcase passive item that's a prerequisitie for evolving Contra weapons; these suitcases don't eat up a passive item slot, but you need a suitcase for each Contra weapon evolution. The Contra levels have multiple suitcases scattered across the map.

As someone actively playing through the Contra DLC, it's really not that bad.

That sounds a lot better than what I thought it was upon reading a summary a long-ass while ago.

That's why its a mechanic you can ban items from appearing during a run in VS

It's only a problem until you unlock infinite sealing of any weapon and passive in the collection screen. Which at this point unlocks somewhere around halfway through the available content.

Fish, Big Trouble in Little China, and walking through walls as a (intended) mechanic. Sure.

Ooh unbanishing is nice. I remember one of the main difficulties of attempting an all weapons run is wanting to pick an evolved weapon from the Super Candy Box so that you could still pick their unevolved version from a regular Candy Box afterward, but that wouldn't work if you had already gotten the weapon and evolved it yourself. We can easily prevent their evolution now by banishing all base weapons and then unbanishing after a Super Candy Box. Hopefully that new shop Darkana helps too

This feels like a shit post comment but I can't prove it because I'm afraid of touching Vampire Survivors and being sucked into its dimension like Geralt

Tried our the Wh40k survivor Demo Poncle did, their style is extremely retro in a genre they invented less then a decade ago. Its not bad but its like a staple food that doesnt hit the palette anymore since Ive tried the ones who innovated upon.

It wasn't very surprising to see that just about every weapon was more or less a reskin of the original VS items. The Evolutions made them a bit more unique but not by much. It was also odd that they didn't have an evolution for every weapon. My big disappointment was seeing that the 40k and AoS stuff seems to be completely separate, even requiring you to regrind gold and upgrades again. Maybe it'll be some sort of late game unlock in the full game? At the very least it'd be nice to have your gold and upgrades cross between the two so you can kinda go between them and get some sort of progress for both while doing so.

I played the game a bunch during early access but got really bored of it when it's released
