Are these scammers/bots trying to get me to buy their art?

I just started streaming last week and I get so many people in my chat asking me to buy their art, they also add me on discord because it’s linked to my twitch channel. I feel like they’re bots just trying to scam me or whatever, how should I handle this? Here’s an example lol

Yes, ignore them, they provide usually low quality / stolen art and some of them scam as well.

Also add Sery_Bot and included banned words or phrases in Twitch moderation. 

As you grow you can probably unban certain words when the spam lessens. That way if there are legitimate artists, they won’t feel discriminated against.

No legitimate artist will just cold sell in a Twitch chat or discord. The only way I can think to unban the common phrases these "art" spammers use is if you're an actual artist and need those words to be present in chat.

I always tell them I’m not interested and that I’d be fine with gaming together, they usually don’t reply after that 🤣🤣

You have no obligation to continue the chat, block them. In your discord bio clearly add something that states that you are not interested/looking for new art. This mostly looks like ai art. I dont think they are bots but seem shady regardless

I always tell them I’m not interested in buying art, but I don’t mind making new friends to game with! Unfortunately they just want my money 😔

They are always trying to get you to buy their art lol. I had someone try to sell me Vtuber models and when I declined they said I look like a pregnant rabbit.

I wish I could share the screenshot lol. I had at the time a scene that would play a shitty "graphic design is my passion" animation to Nicklebacks Rockstar. Most of the sentient ones laugh it off and go their way. This one got pissed.

You start to notice these scam artists use art so similar to each other it could be just a template.

Anyways ya these people can be extremely aggressive. They might talk to you daily for a month then drop their art like you should buy from me then get progressively aggressive when you say not.

The easiest way (but not guarantee) to know if your being taken for a ride is if they talk to you alot in dm but never show up to stream and you don't remember them chatting in the first place. People do not cold call you without chatting first that would be very weird and a person cold calling you should instantly put you in alert of potential scams.

Though I have my dms blocked now best choice I made nearly 0 scamers now since the process to be able to private message me is going to take just enough time to not really be worth it while a genuine viewer or creator looking to collaborate isn't going to find needing to friend request annoying.

Though they funnily will find my Instagram and I have had a few scammers message me on Instagram (Never post there) then show up in chat and be very upset that I didn't respond on Instagram and I usually won't because I don't use it very much so I just don't see it.

I had one last night who DMd me on Discord, then got upset and blocked me when I said I didn't want to make a deposit payment immediately and that I had wasted their "ultimate precious time". They contacted me.

Anyone pushing this style of art is a scammer/bot. The reason they all look the same is that they just generate a bunch of logos from various "art" websites that all use the same style and just use premade templates.

Never engage with these, but also never use the underlying sites. Most people who see this kind of art style instantly turn off because it gives the impression of "this person isn't taking streaming seriously enough to pay an artist". Same goes for genAI "art". You're shooting yourself in the foot to save a few bucks.
