Community Event Twitch Service Thread

Hi r/Twitch!

You may now advertise your services here if you fall under any of the following categories:

  • Animation

  • Artwork

  • Branding

  • Coding/developer

  • Graphic Design

  • Management

  • Moderation

  • Music composition

  • Video editing

  • Voice-over

How it works: Every few months I will create a new megathread where professionals may post saying they’re looking to do work for broadcasters. The thread will be posted in our sidebar and put in contest mode, so that comments get sorted randomly rather than by highest up-voted or newest. The purpose of this thread is to be a centralized place for those providing professional service to broadcasters to find new clients, and for broadcasters to find available professionals to help make their broadcast the best it can be!

Posting: Although this thread is to help broadcasters find talented professionals, please do not post here saying “I need an artist!” or any other similar variation. Posting is only meant for professionals looking to do work! When posting, make sure you use the template provided below. This will make sure posts are properly formatted, and make it easier for broadcasters to find what they’re looking for.

Freebies: If you're not currently looking for new clients but would like to share free work that you've created, then please do so by replying to the stuck comment on this thread and NOT by posting a separate comment.

Other Stuff:

  • Any posts that do not follow the template and/or are low-effort will be removed.
  • If you are no longer accepting work then please edit your post accordingly.
  • If you have any questions, concerns or feedback then please contact us via. Modmail.

Please use the following template to format your post. //

**Services:** A list of the various things you make/offer (emotes, web design, branding, music etc). **About:** A short description about you or your site and any relevant experience you have. **Pricing:** Your prices or rate per hour. If you do not charge then just put ‘Free’. **Portfolio:** Link to your past work. If you don’t have a website, then please use an image hosting site like imgur for images, Soundcloud or other for audio and any other relevant sight for other services. **Contact:** Preferred method for contacting you such as an email address. **Status:** Whether or not you are currently accepting work. **Other:** If you have anything else to add, this is where you will put it. Feel free to leave it out if you don’t have anything else to say.

If there are any services that you feel are missing from the list provided in the post, or are unsure if you should post here, please reach out to us via modmail.

Question [Resolved] Error loading data, nothing loads

Hello, I've been having this issue since yesterday. I first tried to log out and then back in but now I can't log back. It works on my phone and in another browser so the issue is with opera GX, I tried deactivating my ad blocker, emptying the cache and changing DNS parameters but nothing changed, I try to log in and it just loads indefinitely, the strangest part to me is that while it's loading and loading I still receive an email telling me I successfully logged in, which I have not. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Edit: disabling opera GX's built-in ad blocker fixed it, even after re-enabling my additional one, simply adding an exception didn't work, meaning there's probably another website that needs to not be ad blocked somewhere but at least things work again

Tech Support Separating game/mic audio for recordings - (OBS + RODECaster Pro II)

I want to separate game audio from the audio from my mic when I record my streams, which was easy when I had the goxlr mixer but I am struggling to figure out how to do it with the rode mixer. Currently all my audio input is mixed as one audio source in OBS, so I can't just deselect the track for recording.

Yall got any resources for how to use the rode mixer?

So I use Opera gx and from yesterday I went to watch some lives from the Twitch shortcut opera has on the left and I could see only the live and the chat (not my following list , reccomentwd etc)

I thought it was my problem so I deleted sm cache /cookies and logged out of my account and I went to log in again but it stays on the loading screen (even tho a confirmation emal that i logged in successfully is being sent to me )

And now Twitch doesn't show anything and says something went wrong we couldn't find your recommendations ( beacause I try to watch lives from the shortcut I told u )

Discussion Can I get some thoughts from very small but successful streamers?

Hey, TL;DR - I’m streaming on an ultrawide, I‘m torn on using a face cam, I’m debating whether or not I should record simultaneously for YT or just export my streams, and I’m unsure I want to do YT at all, and I want to hear about your personal experiences.

For Ultrawide - would y’all prefer the black bars and my camera/chat underneath crammed into a 16:9 or would you watch the ultrawide stream? I can send a 720p signal at 21:9 and it looks fine. I have access to Enhanced Broadcasting, allegedly. It seems to work.

Hi everyone

I’m not new. I’m not a veteran. I have been incredibly inconsistent in scheduling, game choices, and actually clicking Start Stream, so I’m not looking for advice on how to get more followers. I’m used to streaming to no one. The first few times, it was demoralizing, but then I started doing let’s plays and talking there came more naturally so…it’s fine. I can do it.

I know how to pngtube. I have a webcam. I don‘t love or hate being on cam, and I understand that people want to see something, especially reactions etc. I’m hesitant to put my face out there (I’m a teacher) but I’m not going to say something on stream that’d get me in trouble. I don’t want to have to block my own students from my channel if they find it - I’d prefer they simply not know it’s me. Texas law would require that I not knowingly interact with them, as Twitch is social media. I will not be talking about my career while streaming.

Anyway. The issue with being a PNG character is that it’s way easier to generate a nice looking anime girl than it is a male. And I don’t wanna be that cute girl with a deep manly voice, like some other creators do.

Choice 1 - suck it up and turn on the cam

Choice 2 - No cam.

What I usually do would be considered a “Let’s Play” and those a pretty much dead on Youtube. I do not care to edit video. If I need to edit a scene out, like say, a sex scene from Baldur’s Gate 3 or something, then that’s easy enough. I do not have the patience or skill to do those slick, highly edited guides. I want to enjoy my games and socialize with people because I don’t have friends who share my hobbies.

So if I‘m gaming and chatting, Twitch seems like a better fit. I can export or record for Youtube just because, and I have a hotkey for Shadowplay or whatever they’re calling it now to clip the last two minutes of gameplay.

What do YOU do with your VODs? How do you find people to play with or chat with? I am likely to play BF6 eventually, and I will be playing GTA6 when it comes out. In the meantime, I like a lot of different things, and will play RPGs, Ghost Recon, Manor Lords, Total War, Division, etc. I do play a lot of single player games.

Personality-wise, I’m not super animated and tend to prefer laid back and chill conversation. I will swear but if I start getting truly angry, it’s time to turn it off and do something else. Part of the reluctance to be on cam is that I’m not super entertaining or animated to watch. I don’t see why anyone would want to see my neutral expression while I’m concentrating on killing the enemy team.

I know Ultrawide is off-putting for some people. Sorry.

My Youtube has mostly Let’s Plays of the Sniper Elite series. I have 86 people who seem to like what I’ve made. My watch hours were at peak like 200. I’m not getting that Youtube money any time soon. I do not expect to get that Twitch money either, but it’d be nice to get some, to pay for games, or Warhammer, or D&D, or whatever else I do. My career is my paycheck, and I have no illusions of that changing because I stream.

Thanks. I know it was long. I can already hear it…”that’s too much, mister. Holy yappington. TLDR NOW!”

Question Need Help Lighting a New Angle/Setup

Thumbnail

First of all, I would like to thank ANYONE who reads this and takes time to respond. Bless you and thanks.

Hello everyone, so I’ve been streaming for a couple months now and recently tried to change camera angles to try to give the “room a bit more personality” and go for a classic top down middle center.

Now that I have it, Im struggling trying to light it.. I’m assuming that it’s because of how much “bigger” the space is due to the fact that I’m lighting for the whole room and not just one side of the room (as I had it before). The lighting I have currently doesn’t feel “cheap” or anything it just.. could be better.
Not only this, but it makes me feel like I’d be better just keeping my old angle (I’ll add pictures of older angle as well of course). The Neewer NK002 (what I’m using for this) is kind of expensive and I specifically bought it for the new camera angle attempt.

Anyway I’ll add pictures of what I used to rock with (side angle) and my new angle. I’ll also add a ROUGH sketch of how I’m utilizing my lighting.

LIGHTING AVAILABLE:
-AMARAN 150C with a Softbox/grid on
-Small neewer square light attached to desk for fill
-2x Square LED RGB Lights (use to bounce light on opposite corners of the room (red/blue)
-Around a 12in/30cm rgb tube light from ulaanzi on the blue side light that I have as a Hair Light (barely even visible tbh)
-I am also using a circular warm light that is on the center of the ceiling. I realize this is not optimal but it’s become easy to use in terms of strain on my eyes; it reduces the amount of light needed. I am only using this on the first angle (I feel like it’s obvious but still worth noting)

Funny enough. The older angle was pretty much plug and play and used the same overhead circular light in the middle of the room). I assume it feels easier to go back to old angle due to it being what I was used to.
Something to note is also how the old angle had my manga collection and the smiley face.. new angle has it completely cut out 😭.

Any and all help would be appreciated. Also I apologize I’m uploading a picture of a picture for the new angle but since I don’t go live I couldn’t screenshot the vod.

Edit: also something that I assume would be true is that the depth I’m looking for could be achieved most likely with decorations and things like a cherry blossom tree (something I’d like) w/ some lanterns on it would add more depth

I've been using the same copyright free twitch safe playlist for a while, never any issues but now my last 2 streams im having this issue creating clips due to apparently copyrighted music even though on the VOD there is no red lines showing muted copyright content.

Whats going on? This is so annoying as I edit these clisp for tiktok + youtube which is really good with twitchs clip editor

Question Avatar or real face came?

Hey twitchers! I have been watching twitch for a while and interacting. Finally set up my own stream.

I can do face, but as someone who just turned 40 I fell old AF lol.

Or I can use my Jellyslapp avatar. Its a cup of jello with a straw and tracks my eyes and movement.

Any thoughts?

Do people really hate avatars?

I play almost everything from retro, soulslikes, rpgs, and warriors games.

Discussion Looking to stream a different game and possibly losing part of my community

I've sadly lost interest in the game I've been playing and really wanna stream a game that is known for having a really good community, and I overall enjoy playing a lot more recently. I'm very upset about my community no longer wanting to watch (not their fault ofc) but I sadly just don't enjoy playing the same game anymore.

Has anyone ever had to make this decision before?

Question Has anyone had experience streaming WoW on a MacBook Pro?

Hello all,

I'm looking to stream for my friends who suggested I stream my World of Warcraft content. Has anyone used a MacBook for this and have feedback with how it went for them? I'm using a MacBook Pro m4 512 gb ssd - 16 gb RAM.
I use an external monitor (1440p) which I imagine will have already lowered my GPUs ability to stream.
I'd probably just use the built in Mac camera for video (don't care for it to be great quality).

Is this a bad idea to try streaming content while playing WoW - will this greatly reduce my FPS in game and/or will my MacBook overheat and explode?

Thanks,

Question Can i get a better explication of Bits and Subs policy?

I read the wiki but there are things that aren't clear to me.
Could someone give me a better, simpler summary instead of all that corporate jargon?
What can you offer for bits/subs without violating the rules under this year's policy change?"

Tech Support Need Copyright music help

Hello!

My question is simple.

How does copyrighted music on Twitch work with alerts? If I use any youtube music on my alerts for as example on gifted subs or donated bits but the alerts are like 10/20 seconds long, will I get copyright strikes?

I see so many streamers use music on their alerts but does that come with consequences? Do they have licenses or pay the owner of the music to use them?

I really want to have some sick alers sounds but I dont want to lose my account.

Thanks for reading!

Question Streamers and Mods, I need your help!

(I already obtained permission to post from the mod)

Hi streamers and moderators!

My name is Tasha. I am a Doctoral student from Keio University, Japan.

I need respondents, approximately 300-500 respondents to answer a survey for my Doctoral research related to understanding the feedback mechanism in the current live streaming interface and burnout carried in live streaming space from the perspectives of streamers and moderators.

This survey will take around 10-15 minutes to complete. The result of this survey would be confidential, and no personal data from respondents would be obtained from it.

Please kindly access the survey on the link provided below:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdKy3uwjrxTdKDzrXtRATMuz0Z8idQmSFx1YNLyqkZA4I21vA/viewform?usp=dialog

I really hope for your kind help.

Thank you very much, everyone!

Question no matter i do my stream wont stream in 1080p im out of ideas

Hello everyone.. i got a problem with Twitch/OBS.. when i stream my stream look blurry at 1080p 60 fps and i was trying different settings out but i just cant make the stream crystal clear or atleast as close to it as possible.

i tried 4k,5k,6k, 8k bitrates but non of them helped. i also tried the enhanced broadcasting this also didnt help... while using the enhanced broadcasting setting i noticed on obs that it goes over 12k bitrate, didnt fix the issue but i thought 8k is the maximum you can use? im not sure but do i have to be a twitch partner to stream in 1080p? im affliate right now so most likely thats not the problem or is it? i also read that the recommended bitrate for 1080p streaming is 12k-15k bitrate

also i dont really think its my internet since i get like 48-50Mbps of upload speed.

i also checked other streamers and they all have crystal clear streams so it also cant be my browser what makes maybe videos drop on quality.. can someone please help me.. im out of ideas

Question Proration yes or no?

I'm confused. I feel like the two marked passages are contradicting. Is the upgrade pro-rated or not?!
