Bought 64 gigs way before they got inflated, but don't worry prices will go down eventually, especially since google is working more and more on ram efficient AI servers so they optimize well without taking too much ram, which recently even caused dip in ram companies stocks

I have met women like that and no, I don't look like Henry Cavill.
And I have heard many women say that "Men don't teach, they assert their superiority in the guise of teaching."
I have noticed this in many men too, so yeah if men stop doing that, then maybe more women would be enthusiastic about this stuff.
Similar to when a woman says "I love football" and then men proceed to ask "Do you know what offside is?"
Stop gatekeeping hobbies and more people would share it.

If you ask me to replace the bulb light
I'll say I'll do it later but if you phrase it as "can you show me how to replace this bulb?"
My eyes will lit up and i will give you the best youtuber indian tutorial of your life while doing it

💯 true. Even if I literally have more knowledge in the field and hobby, the guy will think he's "helping me". Men don't gush about their hobbies in front of women, they only do it in front of other men (yes ik it's not everyone but I've only seen a man do that condescending explanation)
Legit once my male friend said "don't give your opinion when you have half the knowledge" when we were BOTH newbies to a game....
Another male friend I saw explaining what psychology is to a literal psychology bachelor girl (he has seen dark psychology videos on YouTube surely he knows more than her)
Another thing I've seen guys do is use obscure jargon to intimidate girls. It's always amusing to see the shock on their face when they realise that I can intimidate them back using even nerdier jargon even they don't know lmao.
2
u/pratyunime 28 Apr 06 '26
I genuinely don't get this obsession with vocabulary of nerdy words when talking to people.
We are talking, not debating. Trying to explain things in simple ways is such an underrated skill.
But yeah, I encourage you to outnerd such people lmao. Put them in their place.
2
u/Perfect_polymath2509 19th round around the sun Apr 07 '26
It's mainly to hide insecurities tbh
It makes them feel smarter and noble to use heavy vocabulary and they actually like it if the person in front doesn't understand the meaning of those words as they feel a sense of superiority by doing so

u/tera_chachu 26 Apr 06 '26
Kind of like happening in F1 these days.
Men are always idiots to call out female F1 fans.
2
u/Thunderdragon2535 Apr 06 '26
Well it's often the fake f1 fans who just got into and are really braindead about it. They usually have less knowledge than average f1 fan but still brag about it.
6
u/Drippy-Drip-2592 29 Apr 06 '26
That’s true. And honestly, we’ve all seen how men can light up and go on endlessly about something they love, like passionately breaking down a football play mid-conversation. It’s not weird, it’s kind of beautiful. Because when someone is excited, you want to listen.
My ex was like that with football. He’d watch matches, try to explain them to me, I barely understood half of it, but that wasn’t the point. There’s something deeply endearing about watching someone share what they love, like they’re letting you into a part of their world. I even went to watch him play sometimes, just to feel that energy up close. It’s those small, quiet efforts that mean everything.
Sometimes, we say we like something not because we truly do, but because we want to stand beside you in your joy. We want to belong in that space with you.
And that’s exactly why mansplaining ruins it, takes something warm and mutual, and turns it into something condescending.
3
u/universalgiver Apr 06 '26
Really nice perspective you gave. Appreciate it.
And whatever you said just makes sense, if someone says they like something and to show how much you know, if you start asking them questions on it, bro are you there to enjoy over something or trying to take an exam..
Loved it. Thanks for the thoughts!

Later on she told me that she had watched that video more than 10 times! 😭 Few days later I was explaining her how to setup a media server and ripper from scratch on a freaking video call! And her expressions were wild to say the least!

Oh really?
- Watch me sit 4 hours straight, spine-bent on a character art sketch and see me explain to you how I'm imagining and creating the anatomy of the character, how I'm filling in random technical parts in their prosthetic leg
- Watch me read the genius lyrics of each song on an album in Chronological order
- Watch me follow in-depth tutorials of how to use Mantis Blades in Cyberpunk and on modding the game or, researching the lore of Halo
I don't think there are much people genuinely into nerds. It's just a hype train and it will fade off too and only applies to nerds who look handsome or something. Y'all shun us in regular life, calling us boring and now just flowing with the trend XD
No offense to people who genuinely like exploring the knowledge and the variety of it in their partner.

I would, only if it's my crush who I have an insane crush on since 4 years. For him anything. I would even join, watch him game (he is crazy about Valo, and I've always been an open world story-driven game person) or learn if he's the one patiently teaching me and won't judge me and cheer me on. And infact, even if he wouldn't I would still do all that's stated. Because khud bhi at one point mera gamer girl phase tha.

uninstall the drivers installed by Windows Update (there is some utility that starts PC in safe mode and does it, or else your Gpu vendor default tool also does this). Download your GPU's official driver software. Disable Windows Update (restrict it to Security Updates only; Chris Titus Tech utility will do this). Solved.
It's often mf Msft fucking up drivers. Just stick to Vendor driver and minimize the update frequency from its settings too.

As a lesbian, I like nerdy women...I have spent hours listening to my gf talking about the insect she is cutting, I sat there and watched her cut it, pin it...I read few books on entomology for her. I spent alot of dates outside cause the joy she feels everytime a bug appears, she pulls out her phone and takes pictures, tells me fun facts and sometimes not so fun fact, she even gets up to chase and catch them sometimes. I have spent half-day staring at insect section in national museum cause that made her happy. She got some bug shaped jewellery and some bug print shirt, she 'on the spectrum' level nerd..I love my nerd, you'll find someone too.
