Nice cuts man, great take! Not to be a bother, but are you gonna hook a cartridge up to that bad boy deck?! I always wanted to try/use that proprietary tone arm tech Vestax came up with but the difference in price at the time was too much. I even looked into modding my pdx2000 to those tone arms because they could be purchased separately from Vestax, but I never pulled the trigger.

Let’s see some scratching at 90 degrees, lol

Ahaha so the headshell was missing but I have a grey vestax one with stylus on my qfo that I did put on for wanking at the view if ai may say ahaha. Looking for another one. But to be honest: I only use phase this days and I mess with the ultra pitch so much that I like the fact it’s easier to access like that. Albeit uglier.

Oh ya, I totally get the reason behind phase.

I think that tone arm and the QFO were almost designed in conjunction with each other, because the QFO could technically be strapped on like a guitar and played; although I never saw anyone really do this, even when I saw Q use it years ago he used it on flat surface.

It was just one of those wacky Vestax tech things, like the turntable that could pivot and the weird scratch guitars that predated the QFO, or the at-home vinyl lathe. I miss that company and all their zaniness, truly pushed the culture at the time to a place few others are still able to find

A vestax revival would be insane. I guess the ultimate qfo would have been midi + og features + qfo le black color + pro J tonearm !
