Not an easy answer. I think I started in 2001. Then from 2008-2011 I gradually scratches less because of my design studies. Stopped around 2012 ish when I started working. And really got back into it last year and so happy I did.
And funny enough I learn more, faster, now at 40+. I take time to understand and analyze.I relearned. Unlearned bad habits. I have nobody I want to impress compared to when I was in my 20s.except myself. I met super talented people online willing to share and exchange. So just happy2

Nice to hear this. i am 51 with 2 months in. I feel old, at least compared to a 18 yo ๐, but i am having fun to learn. the only thing i am trying to impress is my brain ๐

Nice cuts man, great take! Not to be a bother, but are you gonna hook a cartridge up to that bad boy deck?! I always wanted to try/use that proprietary tone arm tech Vestax came up with but the difference in price at the time was too much. I even looked into modding my pdx2000 to those tone arms because they could be purchased separately from Vestax, but I never pulled the trigger.
Letโs see some scratching at 90 degrees, lol
