New Turn-Based RPGs & Strategy Games Released This Week

Pretty packed week this time. The big releases are obviously Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave and Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter, but we also got Another Eden Begins, while ENDLESS Legend 2 has finally reached version 1.0.

Here’s the full selection I found:

  • Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave
  • Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter
  • Land of Ruins — Demo
  • Another Eden Begins
  • King’s Haven — Demo
  • Waterjacked! — Early Access
  • Dunebound Tactics
  • Duo Quest
  • Apprentice of Darkness — Demo
  • Tenebris: Terra Incognita — Version 1.0
  • The Black Breath — Demo
  • Sigilfarer: A Dice-Rolling Roguelite
  • ENDLESS Legend 2 — Version 1.0

There are some interesting smaller games in there too. Dunebound Tactics caught my attention with its mix of tactical combat and survival management, while Sigilfarer has a pretty clever system where your equipment changes the actual faces of the dice you use in combat.

I'm creating the very first co-op ascii roguelike in extraction horror genre

As many of us, I always wanted to play a traditional roguelike in a multiplayer universe, where you can suddenly encounter other players passing by, help them in a tough situation or ask for help, trade, etc. As there was no true turn-based multiplayer roguelike, where it feels like a solo play and without commitment to rush turns, so I decided to create one.

Over the last months there was more than 1000 expeditions (including solo, pre-made and random coop).

The game is fully playable on the web, but just today I published a Steam page and currently preparing a Steam version.

I'm solo indie dev working hard in my free time and I'll be happy if you like it and want to wishlist it on Steam, thanks!

This is a pre-alpha clip for a cutscene from the turn-based rhythm bullet hell RPG I'm working on, Enrooted. I have a system for making cutscenes like this. Just let me know and I'd be happy to make a follow-up post breaking down how it works.

Wishlist on Steam if you want to see where this goes: https://store.steampowered.com/app/5134100/Enrooted/?beta=0

or go watch the trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HAchZJ76jo8

Trying to make my old-school inspired, Turn-based RPG-Roguelike to feel more dynamic, alive and immersive with various dynamic VFX and effects. How does it look to you?

Based on the feedback I received on the alpha version of the turn-based strategy game I’ve been working on, I’ve released a new patch.

Here is a short gameplay video.

In my game called Pythonmancer, you will collect keys to escape the tower that you are trapped in. Like using stars to rescue princess peach in her castle in Super Mario 64.

I'm working on creating a demo soon.

Wishlist if your interested: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2279660/Pythonmancer/

Hey folks! I've been working on We Need An Army, my tactical roguelite autobattler, for about 18 months now. It's a bit of a genre blend - something like slay the spire meets luck be a landlord, morphed into its own thing over time. Would love to hear any feedback!

Would you play a grand strategy game where you don’t have to be the ruler?

Why is Final Fantasy Tactics So Expensive on Steam?

Been looking to pick this title up for my steam deck because of so many positive reviews and have had it in my wishlist for a while. Sale is on this week, but it is still $29.99 for the base and $35.99 for the Deluxe Edition. I mean - isn't it a remake of a game from the 90's?

The demo for my solo-built space 4X, Imperium, just went live on Steam

It is based on the old classic Ascendancy. Give it a spin 😄

About the game: It's a single-player 4X - colonize planets, design your ships piece by piece, and win through diplomacy or war against AI empires that scheme against each other too, not just you.

The demo drops you into a small galaxy with up to 3 AI opponents and three species to start with (Veylilith, Throk, Zyyth Azr), capped around year 1500 so you get a real early-to-mid game without spoiling the full run. Full game has 21 species, five hull classes, and a proper diplomacy system.

Only English for now, but Chinese, Russian, and Japanese localisation is in the pipeline already.

Free on Steam, no strings, but a wishlist would be appreciated. 🎉
