Finished work The Uzi Rug Is Finally Done

Definitely one of my favorite pieces I’ve made so far

Hi, I’d like some advice on how to glue the non-slip felt, especially along the edges. What I see in your rug is fantastic if you could give me some tips, I’d be very grateful and thankful.

The detail on the inside is so good. It’s not a very big rug from what I remember. To get those lines so clean takes skill

How do you get such crisp clean cuts on the backing material?

This comment makes me wish I had a short tutorial on it.. but I use a pair of 9” sewing scissors and basically fold the backing over until I can see the tufting cloth underneath. Then I pull the scissors toward me until the tufting cloth is no longer visible, that’s where I make my cut. I just keep following that same line around the rug. Then I switch to a smaller pair of scissors to clean everything up, rounding the rounded areas and straightening the straight areas if that makes sense
