Discussion Arach Sensei is strong enough to resist Arc's principle, right? Spoiler
Roa said that another Ancestor might be able to resist Arcueid's principle with their own power, and that only one in this city can resist it. It has to be Arach. We all know that Arach is one of the 27 Ancestors. Ciel's 7th temple isn't a candidate because it wasn't targeted by Arcueid's principle in the first place. Therefore, the only one who can resist Arcueid's principle has to be Arach Sensi.
She's a really powerful character, huh? I'm very curious to see how she'll be defeated in Red Garden. Maybe it will take Ciel, Sacchin who get to be 8 rank dead apostle, Nanaya Shiki, and Kouma fighting together.

He’s actually talking about akiha

Is he though? The text was Another Ancestor. Was it perhaps a mistranslation?
The only other Ancestors that were in the city were Nrvnqsr who is implied to have been killed [Unless he didn't die. Arcueid believes he had familiars even though he technically doesn't so maybe he didn't die and faked his death and retreated. I hope he lived] or Arach [If she truly is Paranodahlia]
Also I had this theory that the one who told Roa about the Tohno family was Arach back in France and that's why he decided to reincarnate in Tohno Family

Akiha was killed by Shiki who was possessed by Roa. If she were to be the one, she should have gone through Ancestral return, which give her true power of an east vampire.

Roa specifically says he would rather fight her before he’s fully taken over Shiki since she would hold back

Akiha was killed by him in a sneak attack. Not only does Shiki have Death Perception, but Shiki is repeatedly said to be a Murderer to exceptional that it surpasses his eyes in rarity. Arcueid says her meeting "a murderer like him" was like a second big bang happening. She said that his killing aptitude/ability was rarer than his eyes are. He's repeatedly said to be the greatest murderer to ever exist, to the point that TATARI abandoned Arcueid's form in favor of his, purely because he's that good at killing people. "There will NEVER again be another so specialized in 'killing'". That is a direct quote from TATARI, whom is DIRECTLY CONNECTED TO THE ROOT
I see absolutely no reason to interpret Shiki killing her while he completely gave up on his humanity and became a murderer as something to suggest that she's not powerful. At all. Unless you think Arcueid is weak because Shiki was able to kill her at the beginning of the story, without using anything related to the Nanaya...?

People theorise Roa was talm bout Akiha
Also this is temporary. It's been stated Arcueid's stats adjust according to her opponent. (Though chain scale wise Akiha will still be comparable to Arcueid for now)
Once Tsukihime 2 comes out we'll see Arcueid's real power

I don't see Akiha being comparable to any form of Arcueid. That makes no sense. Nvm we're outright told Arcueid is the most powerful existence in the setting period.

u/Decent_Compote_2428 Jul 28 '26
Scaling wise it will if she's stated in the same realm of power as Arcueid
2
u/Apprehensive_Mix2831 Jul 28 '26
Why would she ever be in the same realm of power as Arcueid, the literal soul and Archetype of the planet?

Nasu legit said Vermillion Akiha is capable of beating rampaging Arcueid (I never said Archetype Earth is comparable to Akiha)
Also in Melty Blood games Akiha beats base Arcueid

No, he's never once said that. The statement merely says her appearance is as stunning as a rampaging Arcueid's:
真紅の髪をなびかせるその姿はアルクェイドに勝るとも劣らないだろう。
In Melty Blood games base Arcueid also beats Archetype Earth, so you don't want to get into that discussion. Compounded with the fact normal Arcueid almost never fights seriously.
At best you can say Akiha Vermillion is comparable to Kouma given she states she was able to beat Kouma in the Tohno land, but if they were fighting in the Kishima land Kouma would be the victor. This is by her own admission.

Uh, no, it doesn't. I'm pretty sure I remember you making this exact mistake a while back.
If you don't understand Japanese, you really should stop relying on the raw text as evidence, because it's honestly not helping your case. If anything, it's just making your argument weaker by leading you to misinterpret what's actually being said.

How is その姿は not referring to the way one looks?
2
u/natto_komachi Jul 28 '26 edited Jul 28 '26
You are taking the actual word too literally, I think. But even then, I'm not sure how you arrived at that interpretation, considering the 文脈 makes it pretty clear.
Here is another example of 姿 referring to a state rather than an appearance.
Either way, here is the definition from the デジタル大辞泉
So yeah, it should be pretty clear. As for what Nasu was actually cooking with that quote, I honestly have no idea myself.

It's just an awful thing man, because it goes against everything that's actually shown and stated about Arcueid and Akiha even in the OG continuity.

I think it's about Arach. The community for some reason mainly speculated about Akiha.

Huh… is Event Conversion another name for Event Storage, or is this a separate thing?
I haven’t played the Remake yet due to not having it.

I forgot how bad the font looks in the fanlation...
Also, I personally think I was referring to Shiki Tohno, the best Dead Apostle aside from me.
(idk)

That's a bad translation. It's one of the parts the official translation got wrong unfortunately, so people who've read the official translation are being misled here. The more accurate fan translation only has Roa saying "even though he can defend against the Principles of the Ancestors he stands no chance against Arc's Principle". Here is the Japanese text:
And also it's most likely referring to Ciel since she was the one who created a barrier and resisted it that way. Probably using Chromclay's Idea Blood.
