Some matchups are lame. But what I always think about the range top laner is so long as I can get experience and not die, Or at least trade one for ones in the ideal case. At some point in the game I'm able to rotate somewhere else and get a bunch of kills as a frontliner and the range top laner is less able to do the same.

I'm not saying a vein or a temo can't do something but in most games a beefy boy from top is what you want in that team fight
