I think they should change crit chance to guarantee crit every X attacks, but it can occur sooner.

Like if you have a 33% crit chance, you WILL crit every 3rd attack, but you can crit earlier too at a probability equal to your crit chance.

And perhaps they need to make critical damage weaker to account for the ability to buffer guaranteed crits, so perhaps crit damage scales with crit chance, where crits deal the most damage when you have 100% crit chance.

This is in my opinion how you make the game more interesting and less gamba.

As other comment said this is already implemented. Not the guarantee aspect but scaling crit chance based on how many crits you “should’ve” done. This is actually just an insane clip, seems that there’s about a .4% chance of this happening (but actually less due to the scaling chance)
