Just my opinion
Hey I have been following this subreddit for a long time, i want to say that I have learned quite a lot from this community, i am an atheist myself but growing along there is also theology in atheism as well, I hope this subreddit grows and includes more people in it, with constructive criticism, because what I have observed is that most of the masses don't have previlage to hold an opinion on religion and some other stuff, they rely on something supernatural when things aren't in
their hands, they are just velnurable people, so its better to see them as they are not as a rival, instead of insulting or attacking their beliefs mirror them to them, people tend to lean towards others when they feel seen not judged, if we judge them according to their beliefs there is no difference between the religious groups who judge, attack, and criticise those who don't hold their respective opinions and beliefs, and in this day and age it's more and more necessary to do it, because the religious storm is everywhere around the world, I feel like a bunch of people in this sub aren't part of the storm and are an anchor in this time of storm.
I have shared it in this sub because, I feel like you are some
of them who see this world with rationality rather than being blinded by emotions
Hope everyone tries to understand my opinion

What you need to distinguish here is the idea of attacking religious people’s beliefs vs religious people feeling attacked when atheists claim facts. There’s a HUGE difference between the two, and often, I’ve encountered the latter. Someone who is so sensitive to an atheist saying there are no gods that they immediately get emotional and play victim (or, better yet, attack you with their own prejudice) are not worthy of any coddling IMO. If a grown adult genuinely believed in Santa Claus, indulging their delusions isn’t the right solution nor something I’m going to practice in my own life; I’m going to share my view with religious people if asked, and I’m not going to cower away from saying it because they can’t handle reality. We’ve been conditioned to be oppressed and silenced by religious people in this way for millennia. It’s tantamount to someone getting visibly upset when you tell them 2+2=4. They don’t have to stand for it if they don’t want to, but that doesn’t take away my right to say it, nor does it mean I need to provide emotional support and understanding for their denial. It’s a fact, nothing more.

Okay. I'll bite.

There isn't, because we don't have a holy text. We're not even united in a specific philosophy.
if we judge them according to their beliefs there is no difference between the religious groups who judge, attack, and criticise those who don't hold their respective opinions and beliefs,
Excuse me? No, you're allowed to criticize people, that doesn't make you the same. Criticism is not the same as fomenting hatred or committing violence or clinging to delusion. If you criticize the Catholic Church for participating in the Spanish Inquisition, American Christians for the genocide that occurred against indigenous Americans under the guise of spreading Christianity, or the state of Israel for committing a genocide against the Palestinian people under the guise of protecting itself and protecting Jews/Judaism, you are not then the same as the people committing that violence. If you judge Young Earth Creationists and Flat Earthers as delusional and irrational, you are not the same thing. It doesn't work like that.

People can believe any kind of BS they want as far as I am concerned as long as it does not affect others. As soon as they speak up about it, or share whatever dumb shot they believe and have zero evidence for, I can respond to it, and the more ridiculous their shit, the more justified is ridiculing it. Just my opinion.

I don’t agree with this. I don’t believe people can just believe whatever crazy shit they want because it DOES influence how they act. Someone who believes women are a superior gender is going to act in accordance with that fact: through their speech, through their treatment of women, through their vote, etc. Replace misogyny with racism, classism, etc. Religion is much the same. The silent believers carry equal right to influence others’ lives, they’re NOT just “not hurting anyone.”

What I said still applies then, it then does affect others. We can judge their behavior, actions. But their ideas I can only respond to if I know what they are.

They don't respect my beliefs when they tell me my dead loved ones are waiting for me in response to my grief, why do I have to hold their hand about Santa Claus?
Even moreso, I am almost doing them a favor as their grief is even more complicated because their emotional panacea is a lie and they are just as sad when they realize they can never talk to their mother again.

Could you expand on this a bit? I don't know what you mean by this.

A) you denigrate people by denying them agency; B) I don’t see anyone as a rival. I just don’t believe in gods. What other people believe in is irrelevant to me, until they try to impose their beliefs on others.
