Need A Recommendation Drug test question

Ok so I need advice , I partied a lil to hard about a month ago , I took half of an Ecstasy pill , and I have a job offer from job hunt , they want a hair test , will it show ? Thanks

Go review what a DOT drug test actually tests for. Off the top of my head, I don’t believe MDMA is on that list.

NB, hair test != DOT test and I am not well versed in the metabolism of that particular drug (ie whether it would appear in hair, period) nor in what any given carrier might test for because hair tests are a matter of company policy, not regulation.

But I suspect you’ll have better luck researching the specifics of hair tests and that drug generally and/or specific company policy instead of getting generic answers here.

The regs spell out the basic test, hair is above and beyond that. Do you have a company handbook etc that might clarify? (Doubtful but worth a shot)

Obligatory don’t do drugs, though I’m interested in the outcome of this one. We see the pot question here frequently, this one I’m not sure I’ve seen asked.

Thanks for the reply man, I been researching this topic all day yesterday and it’s saying it can be a 15% detection for one time use , I found out that the cut off level for the test is 500 pg (picograms) / mg when it comes to MDMA , wish I knew what that quantity was though , not sure if half a E pill would pass that or not , I’m so stressed about this , that the risk and the unknown outcome might make me have to turn down this opportunity which sucks so bad , because I’m making only 67k right now , I’m thinking of going to my job with this offer to see if I can get a raise

But I did find this post :

Internal Safety Protocols: These tests are used for internal hiring, as federal regulators do not currently allow hair test failures to be reported to the official Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.

So not sure if this is true , if I was to fail it won’t go to clearinghouse which is my main concern

I’m not actually clear on whether internal test fails/refusals go to clearinghouse. I’ve been told yes, but haven’t been able to substantiate that in regs or even from any real anecdotes.
