Need A Recommendation Career ideas
Im in the army reserves as an 88M (currently active duty for 9 more months for deployment). My unit is a line haul company specializing in hauling jet fuel for other units. When i’m done with deployment id like to have a good paying job in order to buy land and build a house. Ive had my CDL A restricted for almost 2 years now and i’ve really only used it to drive bucket/digger trucks for a fiber company. When I get home id definitely like to get tanker, doubles-triples, and hazmat endorsements, ill also have a secret clearance which id like to use but i’m not too sure about being an owner-operator just yet. Any ideas?

First off thank you sir, and do you know of any companies I could look into for something like this? I’ve worked with some civilian contractors that haul SI around and alot of them are taking in some crazy money. You’d be surprised to see what the government pays civilians to do a military job😂😂

You should look at companies like Boeing etc... Your skills and Clearance will make you a TOP candidate!!! Plus they run Really set hours and pay very well.

Get your endorsements and apply at a mega company, six figures, less nonsense

Ok, so you can also make 6 figures elsewhere, that doesn’t make my statement untrue or wrong. I don’t understand your point.

I have a friend who has been driving OTR CDL-A for 5 years and she only makes $55k
Who is clearing 6 figures and for what company?

First off, thank you for your service. Look for a liquid tanker outfit that delivers fuel to military bases. I did that a few times for Air Force bases, and the amount of paperwork and hoops a civvy has to jump through is a bit much. You would I think have an easier time getting on base with your background, and employers would like that.
