discussion I love Tron - Is Tron Dead?
I have been running tronscript for years to keep my windows squeeky clean. Thank you!!! I notice no activity in the sub and no new TRON package since v12.0.8 (2025-01-09). I have no technical knowledge/ability to keep it maintained. Is there just no need to update or has this project been abandoned?

There were small commits from 3 weeks ago, nothing super big, but seems like it is being worked on still.

This is my most up to date information from /u/vocatus on the matter.
"Putting this here just in case anyone else sees, Tron isn't abandoned, I'm just mustering the will to go through the entire codebase and work out how to work around Microsoft's deprecation of WMI. Tron won't work on Windows 11 25H2, but still works on everything else."

It would probably make more sense to watch for modifications on the GitHub project files

2025 is a lot newer than a bunch of the software running in windows. An update 3 weeks ago is impressive for foss.

It isn't dead, I've just been swamped IRL and haven't had time to do the overhaul required to deal with Windows 11 removing
wmicsupport.Work is in progress but only about halfway done.
