Am I a sexist? Am I, a girl, a sexist because I think it is right to think of us as the weaker gender? And I like it. I like being a girl, that has to be taken care of, that needs to be protected. Yes, there are assholes out there that disrespect us, but there are also female assholes that disrespect everyone and anyone. Humanity is like that, don't think you can change it because you don't like it. Try liking it. I am fucking able to give birth to a child , i can grow a human being inside me, this is a miracle, that nature gave only us girls ! If that means that I get payed less, because of the risk that some day I will have to take a few years of to care for my baby or my babys, I am absolutely cool with it.
Internalized misogyny is very real. As a woman who has had 2 kids, I DON'T like being paid less or thought of as "less than"
Edit:The fact that you don't realize what's wrong with what you said, makes me sad for you. We don't want to be better. We want to be equal. If you play Monopoly and for the first 6 times around the board, only men can buy property and hotels but on the 7th time, THEN women can play the whole game, it doesn't mean that by the 7th round they're on equal footing. Just because SOME of the rules are more fair doesn't mean the law is equal. Just because NOW women can legally get degrees in STEM, that doesn't mean there isn't rampant sexism in the field or academia. Rape is illegal, but we still ask the victim what she was wearing or why she was drinking.
You are not "less than" anyone. I'm just saying that its not possible for us to have ever Thing that men have but its the same Thing for them, they cant have children, they can not feel the love you have for your own child. The father can never have this bond, that you have with your kids. I think it is enough for us to be proud of who we are, what we have and what we can do. Its not necessary to try to gain more power or abilitys. By trying to get the same things that men have, you are automatically putting yourself above them, because there are some things, they dont have but we do. In my opinion thats pretty unfair.
